I'm a Floridian my whole life...I like how the description doesn't include swimming 😅, but you know some idiots will. If the water's wet, ASSUME there's a Gator in it😉
    P.S...I'm in NW Marion Cty.

Haha! Yep! I once saw kids jumping into the river from a spot on the boardwalk and a park ranger had to come and yell at them like “Are you kids crazy!”

@Sunshine State Insider I'm friends with Robbie Keszey, (Swamp Brothers) and he has an awesome Gator Ranch in Bushnell. 😊🐊

You tend not to see that many gators during the day, but shine a flashlight over the water in the same spot at night and you will be shocked at how many red eyes are taring back at you.

Actually, contrary to the video narration and to follow an earlier commenter (commented 5 months ago), there are several shoals/rapids (class I and II) in Florida, not just two. Yes, Suwanee's " Big Shoals " is the most prominent, and the only class III in Fla. Just from immediate recollection, we have, at the least, stretches of rapids/shoals in the Suwanee, the Hillsborough, rhe Alafia, Aucilla, Santa Fe (the Florida Santa Fe) and also some short stretches thru certain tributary creeks.

Not rapids, but "shoals". There are many such limestone shoals on the Suwannee River, starting downstream of the well-known Big Shoals in White Springs. The main reason you don't see many motor boats on the river until far downstream at Branford.
