    Stunning dress. You mentioned the first electric power plant in New York but made no reference as to why? Was the dress designed to sparkle in the bright glow of light bulbs? Or did she just request that the dress incorporated the design of a lightening bolts in relation to the novelty of electricity?

    Not something i would wear but it is a work of art, absolutely stunning. I wonder how many man hours went into that gown.

    I think it's a fantastic dress! But obviously, it's a very time-specific piece as I don't imagine anyone wearing something like this at a red carpet event.

      No, but think of other events. Some of the red carpet gowns focus on a movie or museum exhibition. What goes around comes around.
