Thank you for doing such a good job when you're in Hannibal. I grew up there and lived there between 1966 and 1977. I personally am proud of how you treat our city, thank you for all your kind words. We love you brother.
You should totally move to Hannibal, I live in St. Louis most weekends me and my family go there. It’s great place to be everyone there will be your friend.
I am from Hannibal it is my birthplace. I still have family here. Mark Twain was always a field trip in school besides required reading for us. Ha ha! I know exactly where you stayed as well. Nothing has changed much either.
some of my fondest childhood memories are of my father reading me The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. another amazing video as always @justinscarred. safe travels, my friend.
Wooo hooo I'm getting to start the day with Justin!!! I've got my redbull a donut and the video it doesn't get any better than that on a Saturday morning 🌄.
Your doing great Justin keep going with your adventures appreciate everything you do. Hope you and allie or doing great. God bless you and your family.
Another great video. It took me a lot more years to learn not to get upset about things in life. Still have problems in blowing it sometimes, but, trusting the LORD gets me through. Did I say I am 72 so I have had my share of problems. Keep looking up.
Justin!!! If you’re still in Hannibal, you HAVE to go to the museum that is the birthplace of the Unsinkable Molly Brown who was on the Titanic! The house is still there and open as a museum! It’s only 3 minutes from the MT Boyhood Home. Amazing story, and you should also stop by the Molly Brown House Museum in Denver sometime too!!!!
This is amazing. I can smell the history in some of these old buildings. I'm envious that you get to travel across the country. Thankyou for sharing. 🙂
Hannibal Tyler is real Tyler!! Great to see you again big guy. Glad you guys could get together again. : ) Justin, your friendship with Bob Gurr is so heart warming. Its awesome to see you guys hanging out together when you can. Good luck with your van.
Outhouse smell in the house. can not even imagine the odor in the summertime. We used liime in our outhouse, helps to keep the flies out. Love the murals. Mr Jeff was very nice, hope you bought him supper.
I am so thankful for you. Praying for you and Allie and I'm thankful the Lord is taking care of you on the road. A lot of extra blessings you received.
I can't say I'm sorry to hear about your van problems with you Enjoying yourself so much! I hope You an Ally are doing well. Sending Lot's of Love and HUGS from Tammy in PA
I've been watching this channel for a while and when you showed the stop sign with the stickers. I noticed Bells brewery that's located in my hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan. That made my day see that
And me only 4 hours away, I could have come up and helped you! So sorry you got stranded, but luckily you got stranded in one of Missouri’s most interesting towns! I do hope the van gets fixed with no major repair. Thanks for the in-depth tour!
In the early 80’s my brother was living in Hartford, Conn. I went there for a visit and we toured Samuel Clemens house that he lived in from 1874 to 1891.
That's cool that you are a fan of Mark Twain. I am also a fan, I think I have read almost all of his books. Some of them even effected my worldview, like his posthumously released "Letters from the Earth"
well good luck with the van..not sure if you had mentioned taking it to a shop after purchase or not...Always a good thing to do ..nice to see hannibal again..and finally a paddlewheel
Excellent video! Love your sense of humor. I'm glad this popped up as a suggestion. 🙂 I have been to Hannibal just one time over a decade ago. It was quite a ghost town during my visit. The river was flooded as well. I too had thought of moving there back then though. Nice to see some new stuff while it keeps it's charm.
would be nice to see a similar historical video or two around Halloween time about the real Sleepy Hollow where much of the real locations still exist like the church, and the history of Edgar Allen Poe and his still unsolved mystery death.
Seems like another historic American town, turned into a tourist trap...but I'll still visit. Justin watching your video makes me want to take off on a road trip. Keep up the good work
"Another thing that's closed today, unfortunately, is..." Train Town? Ohhh, "the Haunted House and Wax Museum." 😁 Super fun and interesting episode, Justin. Hope those vehicle repairs get your trip back on the road to vantastic!
I always thought that the boards were horizontal on the Tom's fence so even when I was a kid I thought all the photos, movies and illustrations were wrong. There is a phrase in art, "The artist is always suspect," but that goes, not only for illustrations and paintings, but for any recreation.
Hannibal, Missouri. Helluva town to be stranded in. Reminds me of the movie Doc Hollywood. What's the usual response you get when people find out you're from California?
As an aside, the TV movie of Gideon’s Trumpet, starring Henry Fonda, was filmed, in part, at the old Orange County courthouse. Please have a safe journey.
I have a 1979' Disneyland postcard that has a Cartoon image of Injun Joe's cave and a live photo from the 1960s Disneyland that shows Becky Thatcher's Raft.
I laughed when you said that you didn't have to go on the ghost tour yay. LOL I guess in a way you were a temporary resident of Hannibal, Missouri. It's like you're in one of those movies where you're in the town that you're meant to live in and maybe that's a sign. It's kind of like groundhog day isn't it? Now you just got to get your fiance and your fur babies and find yourself a new home there. And you certainly know what company you'd like to join with remodeling those houses.
Thank you for doing such a good job when you're in Hannibal. I grew up there and lived there between 1966 and 1977. I personally am proud of how you treat our city, thank you for all your kind words. We love you brother.
You do such an excellent job on this town and all the Mark Twain details. You could be a tour guide . Thank you for the video. Fascinating !
Tour guide? Sure...but tv howsabout
Write a novel ¡!!!?( All your own- :-) )

This was another great Hannibal video. I've watched the other ones and this latest one is really pushing me to take a trip out there.
I was just there!! We did the Mark Twain Cave. My daughter just graduated from Quincy University across the river in Illinois. Great video!!
I've been watching this channel for a while and when you showed the stop sign with the stickers. I noticed Bells brewery that's located in my hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

I love traveling, however, with the pandemic, I have not been able. You're travels have been so entertaining. You are the best!

I LOVE your attitude. I live by that. You cannot control what you cannot control. You can control how you react to it and. This too shall pass
Hope you got your van fixed so you could be on your way. Enjoyed your video. I would really like to visit that town some day!
Wishing your van gets fixed and there are no other issues on your road trip. Safe Travels.

Ah, I was just travelling thru there yesterday!
The trolley company was sold to the owners of the Mark Twain Cave. The sale happened this spring.

"Another thing that's closed today, unfortunately, is..." Train Town? Ohhh, "the Haunted House and Wax Museum." 😁 Super fun and interesting episode, Justin. Hope those vehicle repairs get your trip back on the road to vantastic!
Very cool. I only live 15 mi. from there in Illinois and I have not been in to any of those historic places. Lol..that's sad.
This episode has been great
I always thought that the boards were horizontal on the Tom's fence so even when I was a kid I thought all the photos, movies and illustrations were wrong. There is a phrase in art, "The artist is always suspect," but that goes, not only for illustrations and paintings, but for any recreation.
Wish I knew you were in town. I live right downtown in Hannibal. Would have been cool to meet you. And I know Jeff, see him at least once a month.
Love that little town.
Hannibal, Missouri. Helluva town to be stranded in. Reminds me of the movie Doc Hollywood. What's the usual response you get when people find out you're from California?
😊 Yes please do more and hopefully people at a state like Alabama Tennessee Texas or Louisiana and moved to Hannibal.
You gotta have your coffee before anything. Hope your van gets back on the road soon.
Great video, as always.
*_The 'Smell' of the Mark Twain Era . . . indeed._*
You have a great attitude hang in there brother great video as usual
And just to let you know that Chocolate Store serves gelato coffee and Italian cream soda you should check it out It’s great it’s my favorite place.
I played aunt Polly in our sixth grade musical play adventures of tom sawyer.
Hopefully things will work out for you, same thing happened to me year ago
cute place to be stuck but I hope you have the van back soon all fixed up.
As an aside, the TV movie of Gideon’s Trumpet, starring Henry Fonda, was filmed, in part, at the old Orange County courthouse.

I have a 1979' Disneyland postcard that has a Cartoon image of Injun Joe's cave and a live photo from the 1960s Disneyland that shows Becky Thatcher's Raft.
You make me laugh
Trust me. This old lady isn't climbing up there! I'll wait for a ride.
🧐🤨I Swear I think I saw an apparition floating closely near you in the stairwell to the twain's living quarters🥺😳😬
You should swing over to Mansfield and the Laura Ingalls Wilder home and Museum
I laughed when you said that you didn't have to go on the ghost tour yay. LOL I guess in a way you were a temporary resident of Hannibal, Missouri. Hey Justin are you going to restock the wristbands
It would be interesting if Justin would take a trip on a steamboat on the Mississippi, maybe even the Natchez in New Orleans.
