Hey, Mark! Great work, as per usual! However, there is something that has been increasingly bothering me, and I am telling you guys as constructive criticism: why the passive-aggresive comments about how other channels do things? We are here because we know you do them differently, but I think it's not necessarily up to you to criticize them. Most likely all those channels and yours are sharing (a large portion of) followers so I don't think it's the right move. I love this channel for different reasons I love the others you are passive-aggressively attacking.

And I've actually been helped quite a lot considering my poor mental health condition where I can barely enjoy any activity. I'm a Joseph too. I could almost just say "ditto" to what you said. Mental health issues can really put a damper on things, but a really amazing game helps a lot. I have my good years/months and my bad years, but understand from experience a lot of mental health struggles. Anyway, Best of luck to you. This is one of those moments where you hope a game is not permanently marred by an initially low performance at release. Right now, the Switch is not the way to enjoy this game but there is so much potential here that I feel the developers would be negligent if they did not work to improve on the problems mentioned.

On 1st look I was very interested in this game. Haven't got myself a good Souls Like on my switch yet Mr Walker, I know I hang my head in shame lol Let's hope they sort it. Look forward to the All Patched Up on set game.
What a rollercoaster ride. I started this video with some trepidation, then we climbed up to a point where I thought Ok, this has potential it might actually be good, then over the rest of the vid it's a downhill bumpy ride of reasons why I should wait and not pick it up. I will watch till patch up I guess. Great review though and thank you.

i just bought this game for the ps5 and much to my surprise, not a single person has platinumed this game. i cant find any guides and the only trophies missing are to either keep or destroy the arcane hearts. does anyone out there know what that might mean?

I have no experience with Soulslike games, but I would like to try. I've heard so many good things, and everyone seems to love them. Would this one be a good start to get into the genre as a complete newbie (maybe after a performance patch)? What about Ashen? Thanks for the honest review!
I've not played it yet but Animus is on my wish list and is a souls like I believe. The first two are on sale for £2.79 each atm too.
Maybe someone here will be able to tell you if they're actually good though.

It's hard to be a Switch gamer when it has become a 10fps machine.
Here it's just a lack of time/skill/workload - they've releases across all consoles and the Switch needs way more work to get right with unreal Engine. I don't disagree though. Nintendo have until 2023 really before they NEED an upgraded machine. Mark

Have this game on PC, and I like it quite a bit (when used with a controller), though I do have some glitches here and there, it doesn't take away my enjoyment of this game. The world they have created is just huuuuge, and I've only completed about half of it.
I cannot get over that open world reveal
So many games on Switch where they were in a rush to see if they *could* port it, they never stopped to ask if they *should*...

I’m a little bummed that I purchased this game the other night. I’m a huge souls fan so this caught my attention, but man, I’m lost for words here. I’ll hold onto it and maybe jump back in once it’s patched.
I wanted to pick this up for Switch, but got it for my PS4 Pro instead.
I bought it as soon as it came out. It really needs bugs and lag fixes for the open world. It has some great potential and the combat is fun until u fall thru the floor. It’s seems like a foundation for a really beautiful game it just need a little more of the developers attention.

Oh my goodness. The video started to make motion sick! I don't know how you played this. Great video though. I know it was an artistic choice but the characters pointy footless legs were really distracting for some reason.

I'm glad I watched this review before jumping in. Let's hope they can fix it.
Elden ring switch edition looks cool
Sometimes devs think that nintendo switch users can tolerate anything they throw at.
We already somewhat got used to play at a quite low resolution and understandable since the console is quite underperforming especially for what we can get now, heck smartphones have reached that point already or even in rare occasions surpassing it.
But asking us to play at something below 30 fps is a big NO, honestly i wish nintendo was somewhat more strict about game releases and what it allows to get through the store.
So many game developers seem to think they need to make an open world part of their game nowadays. The mentality that one game needs to have ALL THE THINGS just doesn't work. Find the thing that makes YOUR game special and do that thing really well. If that means a super-engaging open world, do that. If it means skipping the open world entirely, by all means please do. Sink the time making that open world would have taken into your combat mechanics or something.
Like Ghostrunner, I will pick this up on a deep discount and then wait to play it til it gets patched. Sad, looks like it could be a solid game!

This performance makes the original N64 version of Ocarina of Time look smooth. That also had actual anti aliasing too.

I think you might be taking offence where there is none. Saying “I think we’re the only ones who do that” is a statement of fact, not intended to be a “passive-aggressive” statement, merely a “Hey this is the best I can offer” as regards the future coverage of the game. Literally, nothing about other channels negatively, overly or covertly. If you’ve been around the channel a while you know if I wasn’t to say something I won’t dress it up I will just say it “It’s a shame other channels don’t revisit games” for example. Cheers. Bro! Mark

Playing it at Ps4/5 its worthy, its a very good indie soul game with actually working s and proper input commands, perfect hitboxes ,no bs input reading from the enemy egt.. Absolute blast for me ,but yeah some bugs and hard performance is there, hopefully patchs will fix that

Gonna be honest, even with all of the cons there is that is. This game still looks amazing, well I mean the characters. The main character looks amazing. And this is basically a cheap Elden Ring for Switch😂

The light system on this game is something that will be a probem on Switch. But there are other things that shouldn't be. In some areas, really simple textures are missing. Anti aliasing is terrible. Propably Switch can handle a better resolution.
I was looking forward to this one. The only joy by the looks of it was knowing that the Jurassic park theme was butchered perfectly

This game looks very interesting, but looking at it's current state... I believe it is beyond repair. Patch won't fix it, the code needs a rewrite. BTW that Jurassic Park joke was awesome ;)
Even with just bad AI if it ran at 30fps locked it would be significantly more enjoyable. Mark

Purchased this on switch, considering I'm in the Elden Ring end game. This is not great unfortunately. The floaty fighting mechanics just don't do it (Ashen comes close and Hellpoint is just all over the place with similar performance). It just feels floaty and slow and so u responsive. The enemy attacks are unpredictable and they themselves are pretty dumb. It all feels so floaty and laggy. Every step is a slog
