Hey, Jeff, Hey Brit, how are you all? This is so amazing. Bringing back memories for me of when I was in my adolescence. I was born in 1970 so I'm not sure how old I was but I liked Mash. It was an interesting show. Thank you for sharing 😊
Hey, Buddy, Jim from Canada here again. I'm kind of shocked there's no monuments and / or benches, maybe more memorabilia, etc... for such an iconic location.
Yeah, you would think there would be a little more out there, but I heard a lot got destroyed in a fire about 10 years ago, so at one point in time, there was more.
It's just so crazy how it all still looks identical to the tv show. Every time I see this kind of stuff, it always reminds me of my dad who loved Mash because he served in the Korean war, He said the scenery was just like it was where he served. Wow, that's crazy how you had to get across that water. I wander how many people have fallen in doing that. Looks like it was a beautiful day when you went out there. My dad would have gotten a kick out of seeing this in person. Thats crazy about that song! I wonder if the words were added after the music came out.

I've been a HUGE M*A*S*H* Fan since it came out on TV back in my youth. The TV series did get a bit "old" after so many seasons and of course I found other things to do as well once I got older! But for me, I have absolutely seen EVERY DAMN EPISODE many times over as I own the Boxed Set. It's a Family Album as far as I'm concerned! I actually did a deep dive on the history of this TV series and there are many books printed that share behind the scenes "stories" of all the participating Actors, both Lead and supporting AND recurring roles as well. We all know that this series was based on the Movie and the "song" we all know as soon as we hear it, "Suicide Is Painless" is iconic all by itself! I've always wanted to go and visit what is left of this area. I very much appreciate this share Jeff and 909 Family! You should know Jeff, You and Your Crew are thought of when I see places in my own backyard as I automatically think "Oh, your young girls would love this or that as well as Mom and Dad would too"! Loving Families RULE and you all Deliver The Goods! Life is busy as ever, but when I see The 909 Flag ~~~Waving~~~ in my mail box, I know Family has arrived for a visit! I grew up watching the reruns especially when spending the night at my grandmothers house. Every night on fox at 11 & 11:30. I can still feel myself in here house and the way it smelled, down to the way the night in her neighborhood sound just before the theme came on. Suicide is painless, triggers all these memories for me. Crazy how such a sad song can trigger such great memories. I don't have the box set but I stream the show from time to time on Hulu where all the seasons are available. The first three seasons are my favorite with the original cast. It's actually Malibu Creek State Park! I'm from Southern Cal and have always wanted to go there too. I must get there before it's all gone too! You are right Mo...The movie was Classic AND that tune is Tattooed on my soul as well! Salute👋
Ya I just looked it up. Going to have to go on my Rt 66 trip list. I'm going to start in Illinois and go west. I'll end the trip with a tour of the park. I am an old MASH fan from Way back. I bet I've seen every episode at least a dozen or more times.@@TheStuport
@@mobiltecThe Trip sounds awesome! For me I really enjoyed the first four seasons....then slowly The Series got away from me. Still watched periodically and re-runs always helped keep me up on who was still in the show and who had been "written out". Tough to pick out an all time fave...but "The Five O' Clock Charlie" ones were pretty good! Cheers Mo
