No,, it's street legal. I already swapped the plate over from my last bike. I'm adding on the blinkers and horn via a kit.

Well David, I'm jealous! I have had many dirt bikes, most of them Husqvarna 's. My new dream purchase would be a TE300 Husky. Which is basically what you bought. Well maybe some day. Have fun buddy.

The TE300 and mine are nearly identical. I hope you get to live your dream on one :)

@@TheCampulanceMan I haven't ridden in many years, but now that Im retired I would love to get back into it. My last bike was an 82, 430xc Husqvarna. Loved the bike, but now that I'm older the 300, I think is the perfect size. My ears perked up when you said you had a 78 yz. I bought a 79, 400 yz. I did most all of my riding in Eastern Washington state. I miss so much. Happy for you buddy. Hope you have a great time with your new bike.

@@WendelPatterson-cq8vv Oh wow! That 400 must have been a dirt and rock thrower! I bet no one wanted to be behind you on the trails. The new bikes are so advanced compared to what we grew up on - my Gas Gas is fuel injected and oil injected 2 stroke. Oil goes in the frame downtube tank and then pull up to the gas station to fill the gas tank. No carb tuning on this bike. Nothing like my old bikes but I miss their simplicity too.

@@TheCampulanceMan I have been looking at the KTM/Husqvarna 300 for a few years now. I can't afford a brand new 300, but after doing some research I think 2017, 2018 is what I would like to buy. KTM / Husqvarna put a counter balance on the crank to smooth out some of the vibration. Then with a lectron carb it's a good combo. Your younger than me,so at my age I could justify $6500 for a good used bike. The bad part for me is finding friends to ride with. All my riding buddies have hung up their boots.

@WendelPatterson-cq8vv All of my old riding friends either don't ride or have moved away but I have new friends that I run into on the road and we ride together. I had that 2018 KTM 500 and it was too much, I wish I'd bought the 350 and I'd probably still have it. The good thing about used bikes is there's a lot of them out there to choose from :)

I couldn't find the cable, then finally found it after I'd put everything back together. I can change it out easily though still.

Kaplans video shows just how stout that EC300 is in stock form. The van modification out behind the building was pretty good viewing.
