I m a problem solver in Information technology. I questioned all aspects of Islam and then believed . We have to be grateful to Allah not fearful.

The problem isn't that people don't think critically, it's that people don't want to. It takes too long and requires accepting responsibility for your own decisions. A rare trait at the best of times

Please pamper yourself a bit and find out how Richard Dawkins has torn apart many Muslim intellectuals like Mehdi Hassan, Hamza Toztriz and other mullahs. None of them were able to refute a single argument from Richard Dawkins, virtually none of them!
He has mastered theology, religion and philosophy, yet you are saying that he is not aware of it. I don't know how someone can be so confused, it's as if you are living in the bubble of your dreams, where every Muslim is morally right regardless of their deeds (be it a rapist, murder or criminal) ) and every non-Muslim is a sinner and immoral, be it rational, logical, has committed no crime and has done much for the welfare of humanity.

Very nicely explained. I was a critical thinker from the time since I remember. Till the age of 17-18 I wanted to be a scientist as had a scientific approach to everything. However due to monitory reasons could not become what I had wanted and joined more lucrative merchant navy. To day at the age of 65 again I am trying to be a critical thinker. Thanks to the Internet/TH-cam I can understand the world much better today. Still a long way to go.

A wonderful message Muzammil. I have been a firm believer of critical thinking and that is why I had said to my children when they were kids that you are born in a Muslim family but become a Muslim on your own accord not because of parentage. I at 14 had challenged my inherited Belief within me (you don't have to announce it), challenged it worked on it for years and then having been convinced, finally reiterated/rejuvenated my Shahada in my privacy. My spiritual world opened up avenues that only I know.
You cannot do that being in islam... You should practice spirituality in some other religion.... Islam is dangerous... For mankind... For World... Please don't take it personally.. But there are chances while being in islam your kids can be influenced by you relatives society and can be made radical. .. Chances of being radical are much lesser in other communities/religions...muslims generally don't want to accept this. But truth is truth... Apologies if I have hurt you through my words 🙏

Your opinion that "Being critical is natural" seems to be so true, there was a time round 3,4 years ago when i was so much conservative and orthodox no new idea was acceptable for me, but then suddenly 180° change occurred in my mind and i started accepting ideas and opinions.

I ask the "why" to others and I ask the "why" to myself. Critical and self contradicting. I feel like in a cage, my own brain deceiving me from knowing the truth. Such a pain 🤦🏻 Humans don't want to leave the comfort of their bubble.
I wish topics like these were included in our syllabus, they should’ve been taught to us early on. This is education. Critical thinking is critical for acquiring useful knowledge. As you said every idea and thought should be questioned by the logic, I would like to know how to answer the cliche religion question.
Whenever we argue against any teaching of religion specifically Islam, everyone answers that you don't find logic in terms of religion and we don't have enough knowledge yet to understand everything about religion. Whereas my logical thinking doesn't agree with some of the thoughts. What to do in such scenario? Go with my logical thinking or just blindly accept the teaching.

If you say God made rules for human in Quran then what is difference between Allah and human. Humen can also make robot with algorithms.
The Quran states that for anyone who has a bad intention in his or her heart Quran diverts from your original intention.
And if you read Qur'an for the Guidance with clear and pure intentions you will find it that too.

It's not rule for human. It's best practices of being human. For instance, quran mentioned characteristics of narcotics....which affects your consciousness....so every wise person knows that narcotics is not good for human.

Sir i have been listening to you from almost an year, I really believe the words and the ideas that are spark for change which erupted in me too, which were also the life changing moments for me in term of critical evaluation of things but today in this video one thing amazed me of which I thinking otherwise for so long. You stated that the post part of the reactionary brain that exists in humans aren’t supposed to be in every person. Most of people live their normal lives only on reactionary thoughts and actions but you quoted that it’s something natural that exist, for me which means that all those who are away from the pretext of critical thinking aren’t people to be questioned as it’s natural and it isn’t their fault to be stayed away from it. You proposed it if i am not wrong is the superstitious matter of giving which can be ended on one basic conclusion that all the people who aren’t thinking critically aren’t their fault rather it’s the reason on which nature should be questioned.
I believe critical thinking exists in everyone but all we need is to seek it by questioning our own self being, every one reasons of living is totally different and critical analysis is the base.
