    The argument ‘rationality over free choice’ is very tricky when you consider ‘rationality’ in this equation is itself very subjective. I mean rationality itself is built on certain axioms or predefined framework ( that it why rationality is not timeless and geo less) so how do you decide which ‘rationality’ is fine to be exercised over free choice and which not?

    • @anonymousstudent6593
      @anonymousstudent6593 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it depends on obvious facts being used as a medium to realize what's beneficial or not based on the current knowledge we've gained as a society.
      It's not hard to consider what's safe and what isn't when multiple people join together and compare facts at hand to derive something that is rational by putting emotional bias on the sides.

    • @drachilles4013

    Muzammil seems to be talking to 1% population. 99% are not his audience.
    A great teacher simplifies the concepts so that average person can understand it.
    Religion simplifies its message and concepts also ... as a result most elite, highly educated so called Smart people reject religion because it addresses all mankind and not just 1% of elite class.

    You guys doing great with respect to your community where Islamic mindset is in dominating position.. but in India, Hinduism itself very diverse and believe in all woke concept like.. free thinking, respect others opinions, all kind of arts..go and research something about our Vedas and try to understand their purpose.. you ppl become woke just because you read western philosophers and they also suffering from same mindset like Islam. All Abrahamic religion is very standard like my way is highway.. so western philosophers are by product of this mindset..so as you.. go and check philosophy of Indic religion where nobody beheaded others just because he is not agreeing with him.. I am giving one concept of Jainism which a Indic religion "Anekanatwad". It will blown your so called woke minds.. though you have the same DNA, unknowingly your are Victim of Abrahamic religion.. God bless you.. read all the aspects.. don't just blindly follow western philosophers.. check your history at least 1000 years old one.. and you come to know why this civilization still intact, other civilization just vanished like others Persian, Roman, Ancient Chinese, Mayo and other African civilization..

    Really good discussion, I think that the reason for backwardness in an Islamic country is that they can't criticize Muhammad and Islam. Coz from the very beginning in Islam is DO NOT DEAR SAY ANYTHING AGAINST, AND IF YOU DO THEN YOU DIE.
    If you have heard of a person called Ram Jethmalani, he was originally from Karachi and is considered as the best lawyer of independent India. He once said on a RSS event that - I don't like Ram for how he treated his wife Sita.
    His own name was given by his parents by that charector's influence, yet it was OK to say that in an open stage in front of the staunchest Hindus. More importantly, many top leaders of RSS tried to explain his statement and we were absolutely ok to accept that what we address as maryada purushottam Ram was wrong.

    I disagree with one point Syed made here. The populism of Nazi Germany, Bolsonaro of Brazil, Le Penn in France are completely different from that of Modi in India. Because all the other examples cater to Abrahamic ideology which are intrinsically and fundamentally discriminatory. No such discrimination for an Indic/hindu nationalist because unlike the Abrahamic religions, indic religions (more philosophical than religious) do not have the Abrahamic commandments like believe in this way, in these rules or perish. The Abrahamism backed politico-theological flaws are not visible in the same way or to the same extent as in the Indic politico-philosophical framework

    Great Ideas in the video. I just have a small but really important feedback. The hosts should really let the guest speak, instead of sharing their own point of views in most of the video. The hosts are constant and have so much time to reflect back on the guests words. and second, the hosts cut each other off so much. Would be great to see one person complete their thought first before the other person adding anything to it. Kudos to you all!

      Hello! Thank you so much for your feedback and for watching our content. Please note that this is the second part of the podcast. In the first part the guest had much more space to talk and by the second part, it became a conversation between the three rather than just an interview. In this podcast, we are always having a conversation where the hosts also contribute. We are not following a talk show format but instead have conversations that naturally flow. Some like them and some don't but our intentions are always to have natural conversations where the guest in not being interviewed in the typical sense, but is having a conversation.

      @@Maatitvpk I think the moderator bashing is uncalled for in the comments section. While there is no doubt that Muzammil's thoughts and words were pure gold, the entire session is a podcast, the idea behind which was conversational and interactive. I also don't think there is any need for the moderators to be on the defensive. The light-hearted banter and the valuable personal experiences of the the moderators adds to the narrative. Do keep up the good effort!

    Speak for every exception until it becomes the rule? A rather confused way fo thinking. Championing every marginalized idea? Is nazism marginalized? Did you consider that marginalized ideas may in fact be marginalized because they are bad ideas?

    SMS is right. Very difficult to box yourself into an ideology. we evolve ourselves over a period of time. As and when you're faced with new information, we have to evolve else we become irrelevant, textbook and end up with not so practical outlook. great podcast guys, really refreshing. SMS is as usual to the point, as usual.

    You all have done wonderful.you truly have produced a masterpiece.where one can witness the wisdom and the reasoning at it’s top .so keep producing this content and keep promoting this particular approach by having these type of intellectuals in your program’s.because this approach can play a vital role specially for the evolution of our kind of mentally stagnant nation’s.and surely can prove like a stepping stone towards the journey of the enlightenment.cheers and tc.
