Good job you did there! Had mine replaced at the HDZero repair centre, took about week to return, didn't expect them back so quick. They even supplied me with free 3D printed lens protectors. The focus adjustment is now spot-on all is very clear and sharp. Very happy with HD-Zero's level of service.
I'm certainly glad to have the optics replacement covered. I'm glad we got fixed up one way or another...🍻
Oh i been flying los...cam n vtx are expensive on the pension ,much love from sth australia.
This entire hobby has tripled. I'm revisiting older quads just to have something to tinker with...😣

Just picked up a used Fatshark Walksnail goggles. Pretty sure they are pretty close to the same setup.
I've wondered how well the Walksnail Penetrates obstacles vs the HDzero system, on 200mw...🤔
@@propsoff I just completed the build (3" Apex). I have the Walksnail 1S VTX on it. I will let you know once I'm done programming the FC, had a chance to fly t. Most likely next week due to a heavy workload this week.

I have built about5 quads since i got batch 2 goggles.somthing has gone wrong with every quad ,eitheer a motor,1 flew away (had to be the one with no cam or buzzer!)anyway i have only used them hdzero goggles for 3 minutes max 1st i thought they wher broke had a blue or green screen first time i plugged them in so i pulleed the 4s out but after 5 minutes couldnt resist replugged and they worked fine..i still havent flowen with them,building a 5" soon to put the big red vtx in that camme with the bundle lastmay,im a year new to this hobby,just wondering if the part is prematurly broken or its random.Thank you for sharing,love your channel!

The green and blue could be firmware related. Definitely update the firmware on the goggles and the VTX.. I have a video for the goggles if ya need...

Hopefully, things pan out. I've only heard of 2 people who needed a main board replacement. My optics were a recall replacement I did myself because USPS sucks, Lol...🍻

The optics were warranty replacement and came to me at no charge. I filed the claim in April for the shifting issues..
I had a small nylock nut fall out of my goggles and I think I can hear another one rattling around inside. Any idea what those are from?
Yes, I know what those are for.. The locknuts in my goggles are silver in color. In this video, go to 16:27 and pause.. Look at the SMA board to the left. Do you see the frosted white standoff? There's a locknut holding the two boards together..🍻

Not too bad, some of the clips are a pain.. The process would have been way easier if I wasn't trying to film and stay in frame...🙄
