I'm not sure where I heard this, but another reviewer mentioned something similar to your experience with getting the screens lined up right, to see them both clearly, and he was told by Eachine to use the thinner of the foam face pads, effectively moving the screens closer to the eyes. Even though it was only by a very small amount, just a couple millimeters, apparently it did resolve the issue. However, they were less comfortable, and caused some mild discomfort on the bridge of his nose. Anyway, might be worth trying once, to see if it resolves your focus issue... I was going to buy these but they were still "not yet available" "Coming soon" when I wanted to buy the other week, I followed your opinion and purchased a pair of Aomway Commander 1's , which will arrive on Friday. Glad this review still made me feel like I made the right choice.
They arrived today. yay. Now I need a battery. Any suggestions and what mAh size? Update. I used a power supply that fit (correct voltage and polarity) wow nice and clear. Connected to my VTX cleanly. Now to get my FC to bind to my Taranis and I'm in business.
Great review Stew and CTC. I'm glad you were able to get the footage back. These goggles look pretty good, I'm glad to see the manufactures really pushing the quality up. I kinda laughed at first when you cut to the field footage, with all those antennas you kinda looked like a reindeer. Ha. Thanks man. DocH.

As always a good review ... We currently have several really good goggles in this price range with varying features that will meet the needs of this pilot or that one. The one thing however, is just how close they are tending to get in both reception and image clarity. It's my opinion that we have kind of hit a wall with this image screen technology and until someone breaks the mold and thinks out of the box with how we design analog FPV video screens, we are going to be relegated to pretty much what we have right now in the hobby. It's just a matter of time until someone does break the mold and presents us with something really unique and cost effective that will take our hobby to the next level. The technology and the need exist ... the rest WILL happen in due course. Cheers and thanks for keeping us all updated on what's happening ...
This seem to be the first really positive review, with 3 opinions. "No quiet as good as HDO ... but not far of Fatshark ... extra HD ... big FOV ... 2 receiver modules" I will go for, when there are out. They took time to bring out a good googles in this competition, most interesting they hold the opinion of reviewers to make it better.
Just got the commander v1 , at first i was a bit shaky to get used to , but now im very impressed with it . This goggles seems very good aswell , that included faceplate super bonus i guess !! Keep it going Stew ! 😁👍
Great review Stew and Cal. Ive seen a few reviews and everyone has had issue with the lense holes not being big enough to view the whole screen with both eyes. I really hope they address this issue. If they do, then I'm buying.

I have nothing to compare it to, but mine are INSANELY good. Great reception (dual diversity, I pulled one module out) and fantastic picture. Ghosting is very very rare (in odd contrast-y situations) and the screens they use are so colorful, sharp and contrasty. Totally comfortable, built well, . and if I took the faceplate off (large nose) perfect fit. Can't say enough about these! OH! So amazing to plug them into a computer and use them for FPV practice or even watching a movie. So amazingly sharp and colorful.
a big thank you to eachine for sending out products to reviewers first. its a massive help to the community and the manufacturer, i hope the slightly high price means you intend to keep the quality of the lcos screens up. i think at $200 US you would instantly sell as many ev200d's as you have already sold ev800d's, at $300? it might take a little while, but i think these reviews along with actual hobbyists reviews will make these goggles as much of a success as the 800d's.
great review stew, and thanks to cal for his input, helps a lot for reading glass wearers to hear they work ok. also stew i think the foam pads form to the wearer over time, my 800d's were terrible at first but now they are much more comfy
A lot of their sales comes based on the opinion of youtubers like you, Stu. I know that I came to here for opinions before buying my goggles, so if they can impress the youtubers that the buyers trust, it guarantees them more sales. It's a cheap way to get some good insight, and improve their product. I'm only surprised they weren't already doing this.
Fantastic videos man! You should do a video covering beta flight, what it is, how it works, how to use it, and what does what, and the features it had. Also cover some of the abbreviations and lingo with the hobby. I really want to get into fpv quadcopter flying and have been watching technical videos and definitely don't understand a good chunk of it.
nice "pre-review"! in the side by side comparison the aomays looked a tad dark but the ev200s looked washed out as you look at the clouds... the 16 by 9 ratio dosent bother me cause thats what my lil furibee vr01s have and its all ive seen so far... keep up the gr8 job stew!
if you still have these ill buy them. my googles suck but i keep flying. my ant is broken so i get half the range that i had. im a stay at home dad wife works but im trying to save up for a good google set. love ur vids keep flying
yeah, i was flying over sand dunes and it lost connection and failsafed and fell into the edge of a lake. I have dvr of it happening and i know where it crashed. the lake is really murky. i went looking for it for 2 days in my wetsuit and found nothing. :( it even had my go pro on it.
yeah. It was stupid of me and my mum even warned me to not fly over water just before. I was going to fly along the beach to get some good video for youtube but thought it would be safer at the sand dunes.
I too leaped into EV200D wagon. Was quite happy with Aomway Commander v1 googles, but honestly crappy DVR with too low bitrate (or too harsh compression) and square pattern over picture in result drove me mad any time I wanted to put recordings in TH-cam or somewhere else. Also whoop flying in half lit rooms (we now have winter here with wet snow outside) having magentish-yellowish-grayish areas in picture instead of not well lit room or corridor details wasn't fun either. Hadn't a wish to spend over 600 euros for HDO and receiver due to upcoming Christmas, however wanted better picture. EV200D for 251 euros was left as obvious choice :) 1.5 months and 60 packs later I admit that I'm almost satisfied. Was shocked about picture quality - it is great, colors and detail level - awesome even with petty stock camera in Mobula7 whoop. Flying through dark coridor is much easier when you can see things. Seems it will be easier outside in evening under tree shadows too. Receiving with single stock diversity receiver is very good, having no lag. I like receiving noise processing very much - not usual sudden snow splashes and wide lines, only gradually appearing swarm of little dots when picture is still visible through. Much comfortable for turning back when you are not blind. Autosearch definitely is SLOW AND NOISY. It is slow in all Eachine googles though, never seen fast autosearch in Eachine products yet. In contrary manual channel and band switching with two top buttons is super easy and fastest from all googles I tried so far. DVR seems a little overexposured, I hope that it will be fixed later with next firmware update (my googles came with currently last 0828 version). DVR recording search and playback from gallery is very convenient though. Also DVR have failsafe on power loss: you can disconnect battery in middle of recording in progress and it will be saved at this point and possible to play later without problems. Googles itself sit on my head very comfortable with thickest face sponge. With EV200D I don't need correction lenses anymore (needed them for Aomway Commander's). Stock 1800 mAh battery last for 2 hours. I have other 3400 mAh 18650 battery pair in Fatshark battery case plus EV200D may be powered through MicroUSB connector from phone power bank (have 10000 mAh bank which can fit on strap instead of battery) so getting out of juice in field during day is not possible for me. So far all is almost good. The only thing that definitely annoy me is the main fan which is quite persistent in quiet room. Backlight in LCOS screens become hot so fan is required, I hope that I will find quieter spare fan. Also I would like to see only green and red (on recording) OSD DVR icon without "REC" to free space on screen. I seen that funny effect with invisible borders inside when both IPD knobs are in middle position. For me this appear only with thick face sponge, with thin one I have ideal picture, but light leak from aside. Seems I should get face sponge with thin middle and double thickness outside. Maybe I will be able to make it by myself.
We will all benefit, mostly the consumer but also the business producing the product, from more input to the companies putting out these products before they're started being shipped out. With communications being instant and extremely accessible today, all companies should be looking for reviews/test input on products before final production.
I LOVE my Aomway Commander V1. I tried the original Eachine EV 100's and they were junk. Other reviewers said the Eachine EV2000 DVR was garbage. I agree. Not sold on these at all.
I have both EV200D and Aomway Commander v1. And want to argue - after firmware update EV200D DVR got notably better. Now it is quite opposite - Commander V1 DVR certainly is crappiest crap when talking about picture quality.
You were saying you don't know how Bardwell syncs so well, I think part of what he does is clap on the feed and move a clip frame by frame so the clap lines up

Dunno, duel diversity sounds cool, but I think getting the right combination of omni/patch antennas may be a bit tricky and since these are not yet in stock, I think i'm gonna get the Amway Commander V1's. My VRD2 Pro+'s have been a good set of boxes, just hot and heavy and ya hear the occasional comment "Kids don't stare at the man with the plastic box strapped to his head' just thank the lord your not mentally challenged" LOLz Great review, thanks guy's!
Stew, to sync the dvr just make few claps in front of quad camera to set the syncing point on the video. Then you are ready to match that up in post production. Dvr from the googles might drop frames when the reception is bad and at the end of the video it can be out of sync but the starting point will be fine. Happy flying! :)
I still fly with my Eachine EV800D Goggles and they work fine I do take video with them. I do have a set of EV100 and it's just not wide enough for my eyes. Hey I have a pair of eachine vr007, I got it with a quad I bought but I cant make out much of anything and having trouble making out weeds vs grass vs dirt, so can I have them if you don't want them, I'll pay shipping,
DVR in my old Eachine EV800D failed at this summer. It still works, but record only 1-2 frames per second. Not a card issue because in My Aomway Commenders that same card works great. Have no idea what it is. First EV800D revision with Chinese DVR labels BTW.
How does the Eachine EV100s compare to the Aomway commander V1 in terms of FOV, I know they are only like 4 degrees apart according to the spec sheets but is there a big difference in screen size and do you think it is worth upgrading from the EV100s to the V1s?
@@TheAnarchySniper In terms of receiving and picture quality - yes without thinking. DVR picture quality is mediocre, however it is enough to find crashed quad.

Yes maybe so but Fatshark have good support where eachine don't have any, thinking in the long run value for money, i know after my experience with eachine i'd go fat shark for the extra money rather then end up with a paper weight further down the line.
I'm very interested in these. Would it be possible to do a short video of the production model when they come out? Just to see if they did listen to the testers and what changes they did, if any (Weight, ect...).
As always do and CTC great job teaching evu 200ds review I've seen of them they look like they're going to be a good goggle little out of my price range still but hey it be perfect for someone that can get into that price range and I fly with my eb110 really like them I would probably like these the TV 200 even better I bought maybe 100 because of uavfutures and they've been great goggles ever since I bought the little man at your DVR or DVD player and it is been fantastic can't say enough about the group of people and the channel and stew and crashed his Cal and I don't know where group he's been but hey my hat's off to him he might be off on vacation or visiting who knows but you always have a great time thanks for great content always loved it keep flying guys and keep making great videos
Does it come with 4 dipoles? I think you should have run the stock antennas for a first impression, and then made a comparison against some other antennas. Dipoles are actually very good antennas if the orientation is right, and they also count as basic regular.
You do relay lot of information which is much appreciated. However, do you have to speak at the speed of light? For some of us that have a few years under our belly, miss a lot and have to rewind gain and again.
Came down to comments to write this... Aomway DVR looks way better than EV200D... Colors are better, less glitch and noise... WTF? Looking into the video at the end i decided not to buy it... What do you think @UAVFutures?
i backed the "Fat Shark's HD2 Terminator Edition" on Indiegogo, but i seems like they will not raise enough till the goal. EACHINE EV200D seem to be an alternative for me.
How does this compare to the aomway commander v2? I am considering picking up fpv as a hobby and I am torn between these two goggles. I also where prescription glasses. What would you recommend between wearing goggles over glasses or should I get separate lens. Are there softwares that configure the goggles to suit prescriptions?
The EV100 has a problem where the lenses' frame plastic and its rounded corners clips a little bit of the screens, especially if you weren't looking at the screens dead-on. The problem disappeared when I changed over to thinner foam on the faceplate and my eyes were closer to the lenses. @UAVfutures does that sound like the problem you had with the seeing the whole screen?
Where are the focal ipd. That was one of the reasons I got the ev100 because of that and not having to buy lenses. I would like to see that return as that is a great feature.
in your review of the EV100D, one of the things you liked was the adjustable focus, this is missing from the EV200D, which seems a shame, i need reading glasses +1 or +2 for close work, will i be able see the screens on these goggles clearly without wearing glasses? or will i need to buy after market lens inserts(such as RHO lenses)? thx.
Dom V3 RTF kit is right around $300 now with battery and receiver. Seems like a close call. Looking for a 16:9 goggle with the best clarity, instead of largest FOV. Thoughts?
Doug Kresl yeah I thought that was one of the main reasons the v3 weren't as popular was a lot of people did go for the small fpv, I'm still with box goggles so I would probably lean towards the larger 16:9 fov myself

Stew, on the subject of goggle diversity. I have one quad with an akk nano3 only working on channel A on the EV800D goggles and when I try the diversity channel of the goggle it doesn't come in. While on another quad with an eachine 526 vtx, I can use the diversity channel with no issues at all? Is this a goggle issue or a vtx issue? Great review....might have to pick this goggle up.
Stew, This is killing me, the FOV issue.. I purchased the eachine goggles two from your review some time ago and they are 78' fov. I worry I wouldn't like less fov and it keeps me wondering. There's only one Hobby shop (45-minute drive) that has goggles and they will not let you try them on. What's your thoughts of a comparison of such extreme fov difference?

I am hesitating on purchasing goggles because I want to upgrade the antennas but not sure if I can just buy any antennas? I was thinking of getting the Eachine K-Loverleaves 5.8G 5dBi 6 Leaf Clover but these goggles has the ability of having four antennas. Do I just buy a another pair and them to here? Are there antennas that are meant only for the receiver or transmitter? Why do you have four different antennas? Sorry for all the questions!

A great review !! I have HDO's but was really curious if Eachine had upped their game. My biggest issue is service. When I buy any item in this price range, I want to be able to get them fixed. Not sure about Eachine's service, but not willing to find out.
I tried there service, it's non-existent, buy these from china and your probably only going to get a 30 day warranty, after that you will be on your own. We should all wise up and stop supporting this rouge trader, as they don't give support to the people lining their pockets.
Man, I literally just bought the aomway v1's last night from Race Day Quads.Too late to turn back now. Only thing I am concerned about is whether or not they'll be comfortable.
Eachine, reduce the price by only have 1 diversity module as they are too expensive, people will continue to buy the Aomaways, perhaps to reduce the price even further the DVR could be left out but give people the option to insert one into the spare diversity module. But well done Eachine for getting reviewers to test them first.
This is what annoys me about how reviews go these days. Im looking at buying these. The problem is every major review was done on a preproduction version. How is anyone supposed to use these reviews to make an informed decision when the item being reviewed doesnt represent the final product? If the manufacturer sent preproduction versions out and asked peoples opinion without them making videos that would be fine but this just feels like hype building. We see a product that probably only loosely represents the final version and then wont be able to actually get one for months. Kind of useless. Similar to how a version 2 of a lot of things comes out shortly after initial release. Feels like they cheap out and just leave beta testing to the end user… ..grrr
I get my EV200D 1.5 months earlier. You can read my comment 30 sec earlier. Seems worth to be a separate review. However in general Stu was right, except DVR got firmware update in September and now is NOTABLY better.
It seems that at this time in EV200D Eachine did things right. Recently seen Bardwel's FPV google screen comparison and liked picture from EV200D more than others. Same sharpness as Fatshark HDO have, but without excess brightness and color oversaturation. In fact this googles had most realistic colors in comparison with others without losing picture sharpness. DVR seems good as well. Possibility to use receiver modules from other manufacturers is awesome. What about picture artifacts and ghosting? Other reviews in June 2018 was quite mixed. Screens in Kabab's googles was flawed, but later AndyRC received googles with good screens. How good picture was in yours and especially in evening/sunset? In comparing with Aomway Commander v1 that is my main googles now, EV200D seems a clear win. At least same receiving quality, better picture and DVR quality is even not comparable. DVR in Aomway suck with square fest that is especially noticeable in dusk and in TH-cam uploaded videos.
ugh...now I am considering these...thought my mind was made up...lol. I was going to get Stu's favorites but now am not sure. I do like the Aomways but they are still around 400$ Canadian so it is not as easy decision at that price.
I didn't bother getting anything yet. The prices go up and down and all the reviews are all over the place. I am going to wait until I can try a pair before I get anything. I can't take a chance and regret it.
@@Andre_M_3D lol...I understand, these past 4 days I changed my mind like 7 times.... its alot of money for them not to work for you.... i believe these DVR play backs cause more static then when your actually flying. I could be wrong but that's my guess.
@@Andre_M_3D I'm just looking for a clear picture with no static mainly and that arent going to be blurry with my eyes... I have used the PS4 VR and I have to push them on my face as far as possible to be not blurry (my vision not the greatest)... same with Google cheap VR goggles I have to use the closest slider to eyes for them to not be blurry and none of these nicer FPV googles have that option at all... so I'm very worried for that. Now I did see a video by UAV on the FXT Viper box googles and they seem to be very good and has detachable screen as well as they are only $160 but they are bigger and bulkier and I really wanted either the Fat Shark V3, Aomway commanders V1, or these Eachine 200VD but they all have pros and cons that I dont like specifically what I said above.... the plus to these Eachines is they come with a battery too.... so confused 😜
My other comment is,, why 4 antennas?? Well, one thing I thought is your patches can point several directions,,, giving extra gain for racers who want a patch pointed left right and center to grab up 25mw from across an entire track.... One major problem with drones that remains is the limitations on how many people can fly in one place. Sure, I only fly alone so whats the difference, but so many people wont even bother to try it because if they show up at a field to see what drones are like, the only person there is the one guy who spent everything their life had to offer just to become a beginner pilot. If people could arrive at a packed house to go and see drones, then people might be breaking the doors down to give it a go.

a big thank you to eachine for sending out products to reviewers first. its a massive help to the community and the manufacturer, i hope the slightly high price means you intend to keep the quality of the lcos screens up. i think at $200 US you would instantly sell as many ev200d's as you have already sold ev800d's, at $300? it might take a little while, but i think these reviews along with actual hobbyists reviews will make these goggles as much of a success as the 800d's.

A lot of their sales comes based on the opinion of youtubers like you, Stu. I know that I came to here for opinions before buying my goggles, so if they can impress the youtubers that the buyers trust, it guarantees them more sales. It's a cheap way to get some good insight, and improve their product. I'm only surprised they weren't already doing this.
Fantastic videos man! You should do a video covering beta flight, what it is, how it works, how to use it, and what does what, and the features it had. Also cover some of the abbreviations and lingo with the hobby. I really want to get into fpv quadcopter flying and have been watching technical videos and definitely don't understand a good chunk of it.

yeah, i was flying over sand dunes and it lost connection and failsafed and fell into the edge of a lake. I have dvr of it happening and i know where it crashed. the lake is really murky. i went looking for it for 2 days in my wetsuit and found nothing. :( it even had my go pro on it.
yeah. It was stupid of me and my mum even warned me to not fly over water just before. I was going to fly along the beach to get some good video for youtube but thought it would be safer at the sand dunes.
I too leaped into EV200D wagon. Was quite happy with Aomway Commander v1 googles, but honestly crappy DVR with too low bitrate (or too harsh compression) and square pattern over picture in result drove me mad any time I wanted to put recordings in TH-cam or somewhere else. Also whoop flying in half lit rooms (we now have winter here with wet snow outside) having magentish-yellowish-grayish areas in picture instead of not well lit room or corridor details wasn't fun either. Hadn't a wish to spend over 600 euros for HDO and receiver due to upcoming Christmas, however wanted better picture. EV200D for 251 euros was left as obvious choice :) 1.5 months and 60 packs later I admit that I'm almost satisfied. Was shocked about picture quality - it is great, colors and detail level - awesome even with petty stock camera in Mobula7 whoop. Flying through dark coridor is much easier when you can see things. Seems it will be easier outside in evening under tree shadows too. Receiving with single stock diversity receiver is very good, having no lag. I like receiving noise processing very much - not usual sudden snow splashes and wide lines, only gradually appearing swarm of little dots when picture is still visible through. Much comfortable for turning back when you are not blind. Autosearch definitely is SLOW AND NOISY. It is slow in all Eachine googles though, never seen fast autosearch in Eachine products yet. In contrary manual channel and band switching with two top buttons is super easy and fastest from all googles I tried so far. DVR seems a little overexposured, I hope that it will be fixed later with next firmware update (my googles came with currently last 0828 version). DVR recording search and playback from gallery is very convenient though. Also DVR have failsafe on power loss: you can disconnect battery in middle of recording in progress and it will be saved at this point and possible to play later without problems. Googles itself sit on my head very comfortable with thickest face sponge. With EV200D I don't need correction lenses anymore (needed them for Aomway Commander's). Stock 1800 mAh battery last for 2 hours. I have other 3400 mAh 18650 battery pair in Fatshark battery case plus EV200D may be powered through MicroUSB connector from phone power bank (have 10000 mAh bank which can fit on strap instead of battery) so getting out of juice in field during day is not possible for me. So far all is almost good. The only thing that definitely annoy me is the main fan which is quite persistent in quiet room. Backlight in LCOS screens become hot so fan is required, I hope that I will find quieter spare fan. Also I would like to see only green and red (on recording) OSD DVR icon without "REC" to free space on screen. I seen that funny effect with invisible borders inside when both IPD knobs are in middle position. For me this appear only with thick face sponge, with thin one I have ideal picture, but light leak from aside. Seems I should get face sponge with thin middle and double thickness outside. Maybe I will be able to make it by myself.

I LOVE my Aomway Commander V1. I tried the original Eachine EV 100's and they were junk. Other reviewers said the Eachine EV2000 DVR was garbage. I agree. Not sold on these at all.
I have both EV200D and Aomway Commander v1. And want to argue - after firmware update EV200D DVR got notably better. Now it is quite opposite - Commander V1 DVR certainly is crappiest crap when talking about picture quality.
You were saying you don't know how Bardwell syncs so well, I think part of what he does is clap on the feed and move a clip frame by frame so the clap lines up

Dunno, duel diversity sounds cool, but I think getting the right combination of omni/patch antennas may be a bit tricky and since these are not yet in stock, I think i'm gonna get the Amway Commander V1's. My VRD2 Pro+'s have been a good set of boxes, just hot and heavy and ya hear the occasional comment "Kids don't stare at the man with the plastic box strapped to his head' just thank the lord your not mentally challenged" LOLz

Stew, to sync the dvr just make few claps in front of quad camera to set the syncing point on the video. Then you are ready to match that up in post production. Dvr from the googles might drop frames when the reception is bad and at the end of the video it can be out of sync but the starting point will be fine. Happy flying! :)
i did, but crazily enough they record at different frames per second which can be a nightmare in post with sequencing.

Fenboy100 some goggles tend to drop frames when the reception is bad. You can do nothing with that.
I still fly with my Eachine EV800D Goggles and they work fine I do take video with them. I do have a set of EV100 and it's just not wide enough for my eyes. I probably would have purchased this but I just won a brand-new Aomway commander V1 and I am waiting for them to show up ! Anyway goodnight. Great video, 👍👍

DVR in my old Eachine EV800D failed at this summer. It still works, but record only 1-2 frames per second. Not a card issue because in My Aomway Commenders that same card works great. Have no idea what it is. First EV800D revision with Chinese DVR labels BTW.
How does the Eachine EV100s compare to the Aomway commander V1 in terms of FOV, I know they are only like 4 degrees apart according to the spec sheets but is there a big difference in screen size and do you think it is worth upgrading from the EV100s to the V1s?

Yes maybe so but Fatshark have good support where eachine don't have any, thinking in the long run value for money, i know after my experience with eachine i'd go fat shark for the extra money rather then end up with a paper weight further down the line.

As always do and CTC great job teaching evu 200ds review I've seen of them they look like they're going to be a good goggle little out of my price range still but hey it be perfect for someone that can get into that price range and I fly with my eb110 really like them I would probably like these the TV 200 even better I bought maybe 100 because of uavfutures and they've been great goggles ever since I bought the little man at your DVR or DVD player and it is been fantastic can't say enough about the group of people and the channel and stew and crashed his Cal and I don't know where group he's been but hey my hat's off to him he might be off on vacation or visiting who knows but you always have a great time thanks for great content always loved it keep flying guys and keep making great videos
Does it come with 4 dipoles? I think you should have run the stock antennas for a first impression, and then made a comparison against some other antennas. Dipoles are actually very good antennas if the orientation is right, and they also count as basic regular.

You do relay lot of information which is much appreciated. However, do you have to speak at the speed of light? For some of us that have a few years under our belly, miss a lot and have to rewind gain and again.

i backed the "Fat Shark's HD2 Terminator Edition" on Indiegogo, but i seems like they will not raise enough till the goal. EACHINE EV200D seem to be an alternative for me.
How does this compare to the aomway commander v2? I am considering picking up fpv as a hobby and I am torn between these two goggles. I also where prescription glasses. What would you recommend between wearing goggles over glasses or should I get separate lens. Are there softwares that configure the goggles to suit prescriptions?
The EV100 has a problem where the lenses' frame plastic and its rounded corners clips a little bit of the screens, especially if you weren't looking at the screens dead-on. The problem disappeared when I changed over to thinner foam on the faceplate and my eyes were closer to the lenses. @UAVfutures does that sound like the problem you had with the seeing the whole screen?
Why did you not use the top headstrap as well? Maybe it's more comfortable with it?
Where are the focal ipd. That was one of the reasons I got the ev100 because of that and not having to buy lenses. I would like to see that return as that is a great feature.

in your review of the EV100D, one of the things you liked was the adjustable focus, this is missing from the EV200D, which seems a shame, i need reading glasses +1 or +2 for close work, will i be able see the screens on these goggles clearly without wearing glasses? or will i need to buy after market lens inserts(such as RHO lenses)? thx.
Dom V3 RTF kit is right around $300 now with battery and receiver. Seems like a close call. Looking for a 16:9 goggle with the best clarity, instead of largest FOV. Thoughts?
Doug Kresl yeah I thought that was one of the main reasons the v3 weren't as popular was a lot of people did go for the small fpv, I'm still with box goggles so I would probably lean towards the larger 16:9 fov myself

Stew, on the subject of goggle diversity. I have one quad with an akk nano3 only working on channel A on the EV800D goggles and when I try the diversity channel of the goggle it doesn't come in. While on another quad with an eachine 526 vtx, I can use the diversity channel with no issues at all? Is this a goggle issue or a vtx issue? Great review....might have to pick this goggle up.
What would people recommend for antenna? 3patch 1 Omni or 3 Omni 1 patch?

This is killing me, the FOV issue.. I purchased the eachine goggles two from your review some time ago and they are 78' fov. I worry I wouldn't like less fov and it keeps me wondering. There's only one Hobby shop (45-minute drive) that has goggles and they will not let you try them on. What's your thoughts of a comparison of such extreme fov difference?

I am hesitating on purchasing goggles because I want to upgrade the antennas but not sure if I can just buy any antennas? I was thinking of getting the Eachine K-Loverleaves 5.8G 5dBi 6 Leaf Clover but these goggles has the ability of having four antennas. Do I just buy a another pair and them to here? Are there antennas that are meant only for the receiver or transmitter? Why do you have four different antennas?

A great review !! I have HDO's but was really curious if Eachine had upped their game. My biggest issue is service. When I buy any item in this price range, I want to be able to get them fixed. Not sure about Eachine's service, but not willing to find out.
I tried there service, it's non-existent, buy these from china and your probably only going to get a 30 day warranty, after that you will be on your own. We should all wise up and stop supporting this rouge trader, as they don't give support to the people lining their pockets.

They are probably the most comfortable. Trev and Stew still love their Aomway v1’s.
Eachine, reduce the price by only have 1 diversity module as they are too expensive, people will continue to buy the Aomaways, perhaps to reduce the price even further the DVR could be left out but give people the option to insert one into the spare diversity module. But well done Eachine for getting reviewers to test them first.
This is what annoys me about how reviews go these days. Im looking at buying these. The problem is every major review was done on a preproduction version. How is anyone supposed to use these reviews to make an informed decision when the item being reviewed doesnt represent the final product? If the manufacturer sent preproduction versions out and asked peoples opinion without them making videos that would be fine but this just feels like hype building. We see a product that probably only loosely represents the final version and then wont be able to actually get one for months. Kind of useless. Similar to how a version 2 of a lot of things comes out shortly after initial release. Feels like they cheap out and just leave beta testing to the end user… ..grrr
I get my EV200D 1.5 months earlier. You can read my comment 30 sec earlier. Seems worth to be a separate review. However in general Stu was right, except DVR got firmware update in September and now is NOTABLY better.

It seems that at this time in EV200D Eachine did things right. Recently seen Bardwel's FPV google screen comparison and liked picture from EV200D more than others. Same sharpness as Fatshark HDO have, but without excess brightness and color oversaturation. In fact this googles had most realistic colors in comparison with others without losing picture sharpness. DVR seems good as well. Possibility to use receiver modules from other manufacturers is awesome. What about picture artifacts and ghosting? Other reviews in June 2018 was quite mixed. Screens in Kabab's googles was flawed, but later AndyRC received googles with good screens. How good picture was in yours and especially in evening/sunset?
In comparing with Aomway Commander v1 that is my main googles now, EV200D seems a clear win. At least same receiving quality, better picture and DVR quality is even not comparable. DVR in Aomway suck with square fest that is especially noticeable in dusk and in TH-cam uploaded videos.
One day someone is going to make goggles like this for $150 and completely dominate the market.
ugh...now I am considering these...thought my mind was made up...lol. I was going to get Stu's favorites but now am not sure. I do like the Aomways but they are still around 400$ Canadian so it is not as easy decision at that price.

I didn't bother getting anything yet. The prices go up and down and all the reviews are all over the place. I am going to wait until I can try a pair before I get anything. I can't take a chance and regret it.
@@Andre_M_3D lol...I understand, these past 4 days I changed my mind like 7 times.... its alot of money for them not to work for you.... i believe these DVR play backs cause more static then when your actually flying. I could be wrong but that's my guess.
@@Andre_M_3D I'm just looking for a clear picture with no static mainly and that arent going to be blurry with my eyes... I have used the PS4 VR and I have to push them on my face as far as possible to be not blurry (my vision not the greatest)... same with Google cheap VR goggles I have to use the closest slider to eyes for them to not be blurry and none of these nicer FPV googles have that option at all... so I'm very worried for that. Now I did see a video by UAV on the FXT Viper box googles and they seem to be very good and has detachable screen as well as they are only $160 but they are bigger and bulkier and I really wanted either the Fat Shark V3, Aomway commanders V1, or these Eachine 200VD but they all have pros and cons that I dont like specifically what I said above.... the plus to these Eachines is they come with a battery too.... so confused 😜
My other comment is,, why 4 antennas?? Well, one thing I thought is your patches can point several directions,,, giving extra gain for racers who want a patch pointed left right and center to grab up 25mw from across an entire track.... One major problem with drones that remains is the limitations on how many people can fly in one place. Sure, I only fly alone so whats the difference, but so many people wont even bother to try it because if they show up at a field to see what drones are like, the only person there is the one guy who spent everything their life had to offer just to become a beginner pilot. If people could arrive at a packed house to go and see drones, then people might be breaking the doors down to give it a go.
