- It's neat how you can still play Legacy Console Edition on the Nintendo Switch. If only Bedrock hadn't come around to ruin support for it.

I like Bedrock, but Legacy was clearly closer to Java.
They are slowly making bedrock closer to Java.
Online minigames servers havent been shut down, they only work in switchs of people that bought it on the e-shop, you hack your way into having a copy so it doesnt work
To make matters worse is that bedrock didn't even let me convert my wii u world without having the legacy version of NS edition which is literally the only way i can play my old worlds on newer updates without any way to mod my wii u and putting my world file to pc desktop with some coverting program unless the pc version of BR can also convert legacy worlds as well.

Yes! If you were lucky enough to buy a digital copy before it was discontinued, then you can redownload the game with no consequences from Nintendo
The old version is probably in old physical copies still and. It isn't available digital anymore unless you have it on your system already (or re add it but why bother) just like Xbox One was of it's system name edition (was the case for me as had 360/Xbox One versions digital) and I assume the same with PS4 even though players can use the old version it just doesn't get updates like the Bedrock versions does those legacy versions stay legacy.
It's really interesting because they wanted to prevent confusion I guess even though it creates more confusion. Oh which do I get between legacy, bedrock and Java. Hmmmmm.

Is there a way to uninstall a current update? The version of Minecraft for the switch I’m trying to get is not available for purchase anymore.
Nope, the only ways to get it are: if you had already purchased this version previously, you find a digital download code, or pirate it

Not this specific version, but you could get a different version of Console Edition like Xbox360 or PS4
Only the new is physical, the old is digital only so only way is cfw

@@SargentDoom I wonder if the code will even work because this is what the Minecraft Wiki says: "After it was removed from the Nintendo eShop, as it is not possible to redeem codes for games that are no longer distributed, there is currently no way to purchase this edition." Unfortunately, I don't think the card will work.

I've heard it's possible to share games through 2 switch, but I think you've to set the same account on 2 devices but it will probably work with Minecraft Legacy edition

It's a shame you cant buy this. I did hear from another user online that he somehow got mojang to give him a code and it worked. But he could not elaborate. Currently, I am just emulating xbox 360 edition on my steam deck. That works well enough. i can even play specific title updates since those are available online.

I don’t think you can get legacy edition by simply not upgrading a bedrock edition card, did you mean like ps4 edition?
No, I initially thought that if you updated the digital copy of Legacy, it would turn into bedrock.

oh so good gamez listed in this video that u have to update it now if u got it from the store and not hacks then u have to turn on airplane mode and update it
if that doesent work then make sure you have 2 copies of minecraft one as the regular bedrock edition and one as the legacy edition
best possible way is so that have a digital copy of minecraft bedrock, and a physical copy of minecraft legacy, and then update the legacy, and if u DIDNT have the minecraft bedrock edition digital copy then it would update it to minecraft bedrock, and a digital copy of legacy does not exist anymore
