I knew I recognized him!!!!! He played trumpet in the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra during the home for the holidays performance at Baas Hall and I sang in the choir!!!!
i’m in 7th grade and i can’t do staccato very well, i know you said that it’s gonna sound short anyway but i’m not playing it fast at this point. any tips?
I totally understand that and totally appreciate that, but at the end of the day, the music isn’t about having better posture or a correct embouchure. Even if someone puffs their cheeks while they play, (yes we all know it’s not a healthy habit), the goal is to make the music sound pretty. If the performer can make a child say, “woah that was cool, mom, can you buy me an instrument?”, then the performer has done their job, despite the flaws. But yes, the angle seems pretty extreme!
He is what is called a downstream player. He probably has an extreme overbite. There is not much he can do about it short of a major jaw reconstruction.
I died on the inside when he threw that trumpet on the ground
I read your comment and knew it was coming but I was still traumitized.
Noy, I cracked up! That was such a therapeutic release of trumpet frustration. I could totally relate. Thanks for the laugh and great technique vid!
I was traumatized when he smashed the "horn"
Good thing it was only a super old trumpet
I play flute but the trumpets at my hs are constantly blasting this etude, and consequently, it’s stuck in my head.

Is it just me or did y’all completely freeze when he threw that trumpet on the ground, like my heart stopped.
This guy is still a band kid at heart
Anyone remember when this was the euphonium etude 2 years ago?
I have practiced countless hours on this etude and I still can't play the repeated section at the end, any advice?
Revelation I was having the same problem just a couple weeks ago and I found that switching to sax was the best option.
John Houghteling 😂😂😂 true
@@crustyhotcake8067 I should probably do that, sax is easier

I didn’t know Jim Halpert played the trumpet
Thank you this helped out a lot !
he goes like 20 seconds without breathing at the end of the etude
How fast did you take this etude?
ImYvngSavage if only there were some sort of metronomical device you could use to find that out!
Top tempo, 106 or so.
I’m 6 years old and I can already play this perfectly at 186 bpm
you should still be mastering the recorder at that age

Hi..i would practice short speaking excercises such as repeating tic or tac fastly
What has the trumpet ever done to you?!?!?!
Can i find this on smart music?
Probably not
No way Euphoniums last year had this
This makes me feel like a shit player
Jared Haught lol it’s almost like the guy playing is a professional who is a principal in a major orchestra or something like that
HORN ANGLES
What about them lol
Where’s the baritone etudes
I would never throw or smash my trumpet 😢
Amazing player but the thing I would have to critique would be the way he plays down
I totally understand that and totally appreciate that, but at the end of the day, the music isn’t about having better posture or a correct embouchure. But yes, the angle seems pretty extreme!
It's actually preferable to play slightly down in a concert setting. You play under the stand.
He's playing into a microphone lmao
He is what is called a downstream player. He probably has an extreme overbite. There is not much he can do about it short of a major jaw reconstruction.
