I remember seeing Twister the summer it was released at a Drive-in. Was before my wife and I had children and we would go to the drive-in after work every nice weekend. The movie always brings back those wonderful memories.

I pre-ordered the UK deluxe set of A Nightmare On Elm Street a while ago. Guess I will double dip on that one since they claimed it will be releaded pn the 31st of december… Maybe changed sknce then. I can't wait to see a new transfer of Nightmare on Elm Street in 4k. I'd be fine with new transfers on Blu-Ray of the sequels, especially in a Scream Factory set similar to the Friday the 13th one.

The first time I bought Invasion of the Body Snatchers was the Criterion laserdisc back in the 90s. The commentary they did for that release is outstanding and unfortunately is not on this new release.
That is so awesome you had the laserdisc! That really sucks the commentary isn't on the new release. Do you know if it's ever been on another release outside of the Criterion one?
@@RichardDiaz Richard, I'm pretty sure no other release has had the Criterion commentary. I don't think they released a DVD of it, either. I could be wrong, though. Actually, I think most of the supplemental material on this new 4K are ported over from the Olive Films blu ray. Anyway, I'm a big commentary fan and I've made pro quality digital dubs (audio only) of many of them, including the Criterion commentary for this film. I'd be more than happy to make it available to you.

You should definitely cover Umbrella releases. I can't wait for Late Night With the Devil - Night Owls Fan Club Collectors Edition releasing in September.

It is really interesting to see a lot of the studios licensing more movies out which is great. Just a few years ago getting movies from Wanrer or Paramount seemed almost not possible outside of Criterion. So happy more companies are getting licenses because a lot of films need a physical release.
It's still 4K but it doesn't have the extra color expansion that HDR can do. On a simple level think of it as like getting your car washed but you don't wax it. It's still clean and looks nice but won't have that extra shine or make the color of your car fully pop from a wax. Not sure that analogy works but I hope it sort of makes sense. lol

What is SDR?
It's the base transfer without the added color and image benefits from HDR. It can still look good though.
