    I worked at the Casa Bonita in OKC when I was in high school. Sure did have a lot of fun working there. Regarding the touchscreen, a microfiber cloth and eyeglass cleaner sounds like a must-have.

    Patrick & Liv - Thanks for recommending this video! Recognized a lot of landmarks from all my visits out there, though a couple I haven't been too, so I'll have to check them out. Couldn't help but chuckle about the "How is your driving?" bottom section around 7:08. I don't find that section intuitive so I don't really look at it much. And now I have to go watch the next video to see how the EA charging turned. Dang guys, you're killing my evening ... in a good way! OH, and the smudges on the center display, same here, not to mention the glare. Need to find a good anti-glare / matt display cover / shield. I think you mentioned you may have a video on this but if you can save me some time and tell which one or point me to a recommended one that would be awesome. Love your videos!

    Hi Patrick, hi Liv,
    thanks for showing us your impressions. I think Ford has got to learn from the charging providers and the other way around also. Give them some time and it will work. I promise. Cross fingers😉🤞. I saw nearly the same interruption has happend on some HPC charger here in Germany. They have to learn from each other.
    How many HPC providers do you have in the US?
    Best regards
    Ingo

    • @MachE_VLOG
      @MachE_VLOG  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have several but really Electrify America is the one you need for road trips in the US. The others do not have the coverage for a lot of the highways that you would need. We will continue to do some testing and also try some of the other providers.

    • @EVexplored
      @EVexplored 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Maric! To give you a spoiler, the screen cover looks awesome! I used too much soap in the solution so it's not quite perfect but after seeing the crazy finger prints, I think it's a vast improvement! Video coming soon so hopefully others won't make the same mistake as me! We've only been for one drive with it on so far and it seems 100% responsive. You can certainly tell that it's matte and it alters the appearance but I haven't noticed loss of performance or visibility. Tomorrow we're planning to go for a nice long drive, so we'll do lots more testing! - Liv

      I was worried about bubbles. I think we have one tiny one that may disappear over time. I am liking it so far. There were just certain times where we were getting lots of glare and could really see fingerprints.

    I have so looked forward to this car and _Finally_ got a demo unit in at my local Ford dealer. I was first in line to take it out for a spin, so excited.
    And the result was... Totally underwhelmed. The car is way larger than it looks in images. Everybody says the MME rides so much better than the Model 3 so I was surprised by how we bounced down the street as if on solid wagon wheels. All reviews talk about how quited it is but I found it not particularly quiet. Everybody says the interior is "upscale" but I found it to be drab and generic. I really, really wanted to like this car, wanted to take it on road trips. The seats were too uncomfortable for 600-800 mile days and the passenger seat was somehow even worse with a lump in the middle.
    I was impressed by the screen function and the RWD power was all I would ever need. But the rest of the car, it just didn't work for me.
    I drive a 2018 Chevrolet Volt Premium. It's a nice car but not a "luxury" ride in anybody's book. List was $40,000 new with all options including adaptive cruise control. Quite honestly I have to say that Chevy is more comfortable and quiet in every way. As I said, I was terribly disappointed. I guess it's back to looking at Polestar 2, eTron, and ID.4. The upcoming Hyundai looks cool but I know nothing specific about it.

    • @EVexplored
      @EVexplored 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Hyundai does look cool! I'm so glad that there are so many new EV options coming out now! This is the dream! To have so many options to choose from beyond just one brand! We actually test drove the Polestar 2 today and we'll be sharing that video soon. I agree with you that the Mach E is bigger than it looks in pictures! We have a teensy little garage and it's very large in there! We must have different taste though because I do find the interior to be lovely and plush. Especially in our First Edition with the dark vegan leather, the blue stitching, and the dark pillars. Totally my jam and I feel very fancy in it hahah! I love our Mach E but I'm excited to test drive all the new EV's too! - Liv

    • @MachE_VLOG
      @MachE_VLOG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've been finding that dealers are overinflating the tires and that would make a big difference in ride quality.
      For me, I thought the seats have been really comfortable, but understand that can just be a personal preferences.
      We just did a Polestar 2 test drive and we have one scheduled for the ID.4. I won't give away too many spoilers for the Polestar 2, but it is a but smaller than the Mach-E so maybe you will like it. Our ID.4 test drive isn't until May but I'm hoping to find something sooner.

    Your tour was great. You guys do a great job. Most of what you showed us was not there when I lived in Loveland during the '70's...the Capitol Building & Red Rocks were about it. So the rest was all new. Thanks. Concerned about lots of charging problems we're hearing about from various sources...and it's never clear whether it's a car problem or a charger problem. When you spoke of finally using "the app" were you talking about the Ford app or the EA app. My impression from others has been that they are having trouble with Ford's plug and play (mostly due to the fact that EA has not upgraded the firmware at all their sites) but I heard from one guy who drove from CA to TX and back using the EA app all the way and he had no problems. Whenever I have had a public charging problem (over my 6 EV years) it has always been the station, itself. But some stations simply don't play well with others...esp. when "others" are various makes and configurations of EV's. I hope Ford is listening because whether it's a Ford problem or an EA problem, if this keeps up, Ford and the EV world will lose sales over it. Since most ICE people are afraid of "range issues" having non-dependable chargers only exacerbates that perception.

    Ok. So I had this issue too and think it has to do with the direct current connection. Always ensure that the plug is securely in all the way and the orientation is near perfect. I noticed the gentleman just kind of plugged in with one hand and was not ensuring a nice snug fit. I realize that the solenoid is supposed to ensure the connection is secure. Keep us appraised of this charging fiasco. It’s definitely got me to a full stop on getting a Mach-e (or any non Tesla). When you are in weather conditions and you have to deal with this, it’s not going to be pleasant. The thing is that Ford and other majors already have the land to fix this problem and develop additional income streams. If they installed banks of chargers at their facilities (not just one which will surely always be in use) they will make their locations destinations. Tesla had to start from zero land wise. I’m shocked they haven’t started doing major installs...they don’t seem to get it yet. You need the infrastructure before the sales.
