Still remember the day I got my rl540 and also remember the day I rode into the side of a car parked on the sidewalk at night in the rain(didn't end well for me or the bike)! Bent the forks and frame, and broke my arm. Put a huge dent in the door of the car, early 70s Buick two door. Rebuilt my bike and still have it to this day great piece of machinery. They don't make them sturdy like that anymore!
Yep. Riding home from school BITD I went into the back of a parked car. Too busy checking out a cute girl walking on the footpath. That didn’t go well for my cred.
I worked 2 summers in 1990 and and bought a redline rl 340 for 400 bucks it hat gold Araya spoke rims and white gt tires and white mushroom grips and orange Di comp brakes and 3 piece crank you could lift the frame with 2 fingers it was dope ...now that bike sells for 2500 on eBay I should have kept it but a kid really wanted it and he bugged me every day and I gave it him for his b day that year ....I think I did the right thing..but I was the coolest paperboy in the business man I assure you those were the good days man 😂
You got it wrong Hank McCrank, the original down tube is not oval, it's ELLIPTICAL. The flat sided oval is reserved for the flawed creation Dom and Curt made.
I had a chrome frame skyway t/a back in 1988 with all the best parts like pro class 3 rims, comp 3 tires, Dia compe brakes etc! Then it got stolen at school😞 Miss is so much😢 insurance cut my dad a check for $750😳 that’s how much it was worth cause it was race ready!
I had a Redline 102B chrome frame with Skyway Tuff 2s. It was around 1985 and I have never seen another? Anyone know much about this model? I’m guessing it was enter level. Had 2 piece crank with KKT pedals.
Went to Albq, for a 20-II, ending up with a sweet white 20-A, with a CD chain ring. 647.oo I think, Looks everytime I took it out, dad gave it away years later. :( Never seen a 20-B in the wild tho....single to duel top tube. oval down? like 20a?
There was doubt to whether it was the real interface guy getting finished in Turkey. There was no response against either turkey or USA who supposedly supported the assassination. Andy was said to be backing out of the chip market as well which didn't seem relatable to a lot of people . It looked like a role was being played of an ultra dominated, and they do exist but most people thought there should be some fight. They said me being there was a call out and he said I would be going anyway. He double down and sent me to stay in Hungary for a while and run hundreds of torture gauntlet. I would constantly get peoples suspicions told to me that they though Andy was selling inept behavior by keeping me in unsafe places controlled by the enemy as he did with interface (for a day!). They said they would be going through with stealing the chip because it was better and it worked in defense better and threatened they would be testing in their arm network for backdoor vision.
The eighties had legendary BMX bikes
Sure did. Thanks for watching.
Agreed!! This new generation of BMX Bikes is like some sort of experiment gone wrong 🤦♂️

They couldn't find a human for the voice over ?
Haven't heard those names in many years. I had a buddy that had a hutch wind styler i believe it was
These were awesome, i was a big fan of the haro
For sure. Check out the 1986 Haro BMX bike history video. One of my latest. Cheers

Great upload man🤘🤘
That's what the brochure says the site AI is just quoting 1980s magazine ads
Yep, info is straight from the catalogue. Sometimes different to what was released.
I had forklifter bars and 48 spokes. Inspired by Glen Pavlovsky's BMX Action cover.
Awesome.
I had an RL 20 and then a few years later I got an RL 20 pro styler
Nice. I have a frame. Can’t afford the forks now lol.

Redlines were the cheap bikes of the name brand ones when I was a kid in early 90s. It was like buying a Kia.
Amazing how things change. In the early 80’s they dominated.
@@re-ridesyep, I remember them being very sort after in the 80’s , only the spoiled kids had em!
hey xyz, you've heard of redline bikes right?
(Whispers) Just say you do, it is for Canada..wink wink"
No no one really heard of that brand then..
Thanks for watching.
The backing rap track is irritating.
Sorry you don’t like the choice. Makes watching even more appreciated.
I always wanted a redline box chromeolly frame they were very light
Always loved them.
Coolest bike I ever had and they stole it lol
I had a few stolen over the years. Left with that empty loss feeling. It’s the worst.
