Multitasking comes from routine, when you are used to something enough that you do it without thinking.
What of course can easily lead to mistakes.
One of the reason why for example many people got car accidents on routes they are used to, since they don't focus.
Ovearll the difference between individuals is far greater than the difference between the sexes.
@@delusionalmystic8533 Yeah, my observation has been that women don't multi-task better, but they do get distracted enough to switch tasks more often. A lot of guys will be doing something and ignore most everything else till finished. When I look at the women in my life they can be in the middle of a task and notice something that could easily wait till later that makes them drop what they are doing and attend to whatever caught their attention. My sister is always saying how busy she is and seems to get nothing done. Yeah, because she never finishes what she was doing before starting on the next thing. Which sort of makes sense if you evolved to be the primary caretaker of small children.
