I was too! The girl right over Shane's left shoulder didn't seem impressed lol but the asian chick in the back sure loved it!
Watch them during that Woody Harrison monologue lol
Dude that chick on the guitar is def writing a letter about shane this week 😂 the black dude in the front was cool and understood the vibe
It's probably because they've heard the bit already. I love Shane but kinda disappointed he used recycled jokes
They were told to be careful what to laugh at!
i love how shane is bigger than snl now
Shane just holding it down for all the Dawgs. Beautiful.
We out here👌
Woof.
Amen
Have to say I'm feeling pretty gay for being so proud/happy for Shane to host SNL.
Hahaha his fanbase might be worse than Rife’s. For the dawgs haha.
Shanes father being in the wolves den to support his son is peak Fox news dad
Spine: straightened
Game face: On
Socks: Knee high 😎
Wolves den? that’s a bit much…it is nice to see it all happen though.
So brave of big Phil to brave the war zone that is big cities just to support his son
Hahahah I was thinking this same thing. Searching the comments for someone else saying it.
Perfect comment
probably the first monologue from SNL I watched till the end.
The most family friendly shane set😂😂😂
LOL that's great
7:05 Anyone who's seen Shane's regular stand-up knows he just dodged a bullet right there xD
Lmao I saw the face and I was like nooooo
😂
I did it for those kids 😍
what does he normally say?!?!
@@wonderfulworldofmarkets9033I think “I did it for the money” but idk for sure
As the parent of a child with DS, I totally agree with him. She’s the happiest and best loved member of the family ❤
I thought “DS” like the Nintendo DS then it clicked 💀💀💀
Same with my dad’s uncle, Bill. I remember him being the sweetest man and everyone in our family adored him.
As a parent of a 12 year old with Down Syndrome I agree! If you ever want to know what genuine love is, befriend someone with DS.
That is a really old joke of his. You could visibly see him getting uncomfortable with the audience, which is why he went to the well to pull out old faithful, a joke he's told a thousand times. Still funny but I was hoping he would use this chance to drop some new material.
Hopefully you were cool enough to adopt a few black dudes too 🤙
I’m so happy for Shane. He’s gonna hit the stratosphere with his comedy talent. Can’t wait for Tires on Netflix
"Everybody's getting apple juice. We don't know how to fix that problem." That was adorable and hilarious! 😂
Was it? Really?
@@bartmix8994yes. Really

That was a genius set up. Shane is one of the best, such a great set. One of the secrets to comedy is to keep the audience tense and just not knowing what Shane was going to say the entire set and where he was going to go and how he delivered was amazing. Guy is one of the best.
@@bartmix8994 It's a helluva lot funnier than someone being snarky on the internet. Why don't you go give yourself a little treat by sitting on your favorite toy and watching some Billy Eichner videos?
You can see his expectation on that "It almost got me...but it nicked me!" line....
It crushes in his special! And here it gets nothing... Next few lines are improved for sure!
Shane, you are the man, love from Czech republic!
People are sensitive now -- these are jokes and harmless -- not intended to be mean -- intended to be funny and were!
@@Havron12345did it really get no laughs? Like how much of it is laugh track
@@iliaskaddour9369 you can tell the laugh track was used quite a bit. There were multiple instances where hed say a joke, you hear the "crowd" laugh a lot, and Shane reacts like it got little to nothing. Hes too funny for the woke drones who watch SNL. Hell they probably came IN with the idea of being offended by him
@@DamonDriver that... or maybe we've just all heard that bit already...
That cos no one in that crowd dodged that particular bullet.

That one was for the real fans and I appreciated it
He bailed hahaha
for the dawgz
Pulled the ripcord on that one.
He should have said for the ladies. Because I already know they’re down
Bro what. He absolutely crushed it. What the hell was all that controversy about? Yes, you can tell he was nervous, but he still held it down and I was laughing consistently throughout his entire ser. Very good to see 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥
As someone who works w/ adults w/ down syndrome Shanes humanization of them never fails to make me smile :)
Yeah I agree. It was kinda weird the audience seemed very timid when he started talking about ppl with Down syndrome and I was like why? It’s okay to laugh at jokes that humanize and respect people just like everyone else
Phil probably told him afterwards “..the hell?? Whyuu whatchu do that for ?” 🤣

Didn’t bomb at all but he is usually way better than this given he had to censor 90% of his material, he did a great job

His delivery is insane. The awkward confidence. Outstanding.

Check out Nick Mullen, he's even funnier but much less charismatic lol
"I hate this job so much!"🤣🤣😂 That was gold!

His Fox News dad in the belly of the beast is awesome! 😂
I feel weirdly proud of someone from thousands of miles away who i've never met
thats what lifes about my dude, being happy for others, Shane we watched get fired for saying chink, then like a phoenix he rises into a Beautiful Dawg.
That's a funny thing, isn't it?
I get that too
Exactly??!! Gotta chalk it up to just how personable dude is. First time watching SNL in at least a decade
It’s cause he fought the machine and won! This single event is so much bigger than just him hosting SNL. He showed these executives that they aren’t required to “make it” and that they don’t decide what the people like. Shane got fired but then got so big on his own that they couldn’t ignore him. It’s a huge win for everything and everyone non woke.

He's not resorting to older material in a panic, this is the broadest audience he'll ever get. You don't use new material on SNL unless you're Dave Chappelle or Louis and everyone already knows you.
I think he had to back pedal because the audience was robotic and stiff like they heard the jokes but didn't get them, so he reverted to some of his "solid classics" that are simpler to understand.
He was jittery and I think the "older" material was like hopping on an old bicycle and made it an easier/more comfortable ride as well. Just some thoughts
