DURAN DURAN CONCERTS back in 1984 were just INSANE!!. No one!, and i mean no one , gave there fans 110% like these guys!!. Simon lebon in this concert it self was just CRAZY GOOD!.. simon jumping off the stage like 10 feet in the air, landing the doing like 10 spins!!.. just nuts!.. Van Halen is a very close 2nd for live performances. for me.. And I LOVE VAN HALEN!. But DURAN took concerts to a another level!!.
love watching kids discovering the real legends. Lol! DD pretty much owned the world back then, and are still pretty solid performers. this is why they're in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame finally
I grew up with Duran Duran's music, I still listening very often and at ny 55 years old and watch young people like you even when you listen other kind of music and enjoy it, for me it's very happy, because appreciate good songs, good melody, interpretation, etc. Great channel, greetings from Mexico City!!!
I have always loved this live version. This show took place in Oakland, CA and was the final show of their Sing Blue Silver tour in April 1984. The energy was just off the hook. I recommend checking out some clips from their show at the Hammersmith Odeon from 1982, as well as some liver performances in 1981. There's one in particular that starts with the crowd being pretty docile. By the end of the set, they were going INSANE! Duran Duran has been my favorite band since late 1982. I've seen them live 13 times (so far) and they have yet to disappoint.
Duran are a rock pop dance funk punk band and will cross genres on each album Last album studio album no:15 released last October reached no:3 On the uk chart and have played some Some huge gigs as per normal like Hyde park last month in front of 65,000 Duran are one of the biggest bands of all time and hopefully you’ll get to discover some music royalty with these legends, 40 plus years in and still at the top of their game 😊
Oh, I saw them on this concert when I was a teenager and the live show was just like this. So much energy from the stage and the fans. My first concert and I still love their music. The entire 'As the Lights go down' video concert where this is from is awesome.
Careless Memories was originally from the group's self titled debut album (1981). It was not that successful on the UK charts peaking #37. But has become a fan fave at their concerts. Make sure to check out the original music video.
One of my favorite songs from them and it's so good live! And John on Bass is insane. If you haven't heard him on the song Rio on the same concert, please do and you're welcome, also Girls on Film and New Religion.....!!!!
This song is from their first album released in 1981. It's still one of my favourite Duran Duran songs. I actually went to see the band on this tour in 1984. The video for The Reflex was filmed at the concert I attended in Toronto. I still have my ticket stub. A ticket to the show was all that I asked for my 16th birthday. It wasn't all I got but it was the thing I was most excited about.
You are keen Duran Duran fans and have reacted to many of their hits. Try this one - Girls on Film (Live from London) it has the best baseline and pumping rythym and you will love the teamwork on stage
hello again 😄😊 I was at that gig in Birmingham uk were they were filming it for there dvd release fuk the energy excitement was out of this world the atmosphere was electric brilliant awesome amazing band 👍👌 wow wow wow memories era only seems like yesterday I was 14-15 yrs old now 54 in a couple of weeks lol
Love what you guys are doing, you are so fun to watch, I went to this show when they came to Florida and they were amazing, and people focused on all the wrong things with Duran Duran, there is a reason they have lasted, first of all, they had the songs, and secondly they could do it LIVE!!!! People focused on the look and videos, but they prided themselves on being able to do it ALL live.
Once I saw what you were reacting to I giggled with excitement. Seen this performance so many times, such a rockin performance. Only wish they showed Roger the drummer more. But they were all Killin it. Miss Andy the guitarist, he left the band twice. he was going so hard here! 🔥🤘
I wish everyone that dismisses this band as pretty boy pop could see this video and hear this awesome song! They are incredible performers and musicians. Thanks for the reaction of this long awaited video.
Andy and John playing guitar together, almost as if they're competing (of course they're not, it's just pure fun)... Simon twirling down the stage... that drum... that keyboard... that vocal! Wow!!!!!
I’ve watched several of your Duran Duran videos and your reactions are priceless! I was fortunate enough to be a screaming teen when they rolled through my town on this tour in 1984. It was awesome. They were my favorite and I still love them today. Check out their newest album Future Past. They’re as sharp as ever! ❤
Bass player John Taylor was my idol growing up back in the 1980s...and Duran the biggest band in the world...check out the film doc 'Sing Blue Silver' from 1984 i think documenting the bands USA break and you will understand why they were the biggest band of the 80s...thankd for reacting to this!!
I love Slipknot, A7x, Korn, etc.. but i grew up listening duran duran too. i love them. John Taylor one of the best bass player and the vocals of Simon are amazing. You should react more songs from this concert like new religion, hungry like the wolf, girls on film. Sorry for my english xD Kisses from Argentina ♥
They got no appreciation from critics back in the day. None. Because girls loved them. Well guess who has given the a lifetime dream career and helped vote them into the HOF. Yes,guys love them too, but here we are, those girls. You guys are adorable.
so this video is a little different that the album track on the live LP "Arena", specifically the ending, and it's a shame. If you get a chance, listen to this song from the album. The end of the song, IMHO is probably the best ending to a live song ever. Very cool.
Fun fact John stepped on a broken bottle and cut his foot really bad right before this stuff was recorded that besides stitches he had a shot of morphine and a line of cocaine about every other song so he could play and do the filming
Finally inducted into rock hall of fame

They are sooo much better now.
@@lisaodowd2977 They have a bit more energy back in the earlier days though, but i will say that simons voice is more on target now.
These are the 80's. The album arena is a master piece. Duran Duran is still alive and kicking

Ain't no modern band gets that kind of reception any more!!

I love the song "Anniversary" on the latest album (Future Past). So many musical Easter eggs!
Post punk
I was at Hyde Park. Magic ❤
This video is the reason why they have been inducted into the rock roll hall of fame. They fuckin rocked the arenas in the 80s.

Of all Duran Duran songs this is one of my favorite
DD are the Best!!! On Fire!
John Taylor is an amazing bassist 👍🏻
He is absolutely the best.
And bare in mind Duran at this point were the biggest band in the world……imagine a rock group being the biggest band in the world….
like metallica is now only thrash metal
No , acdc were. There record sales were well ahead of Duran Duran, also concert numbers. Now amongst teen girls ,yes
John Taylor is why I picked up the Bass, no doubt one among many.
Hey what coincidence. Same with me. 👍
And that was the final song of the concert! Energy galore!
girls on film was the final song
@@timotapiolehtonen6743 Careless Memories must have been right before then.
Actually, Careless Memories was the last song on the CD. I'm looking right at it.
Careless Memories was originally from the group's self titled debut album (1981). It was not that successful on the UK charts peaking #37. But has become a fan fave at their concerts. Make sure to check out the original music video.
John Taylor is one of the most incredible bassists around! Even now their concerts are incredible!! Careless Memories is definitely high energy!!
Ive seen Duran Duran live many times .They are a sight to see live
I'm 48 and seen Duran Duran 4 times and each show was better than the last! Awesome band 😎
Seen them 17 times they get better and better
Andy is one of the greats who can straddle rock and pop. Phenomenal guitarist.
One of my favorite songs from them and it's so good live! And John on Bass is insane. If you haven't heard him on the song Rio on the same concert, please do and you're welcome, also Girls on Film and New Religion.....!!!!

I liked a lot your reaction to this Duran Duran song! I'm a fan of them since 1981. One more subscriber here. Keep the good work. Cheers

One of the best live videos and performances ever. These guys are pure energy and talent. Taking me back to my college days. Wooooo!!!
PLEASE react to The Reflex!! If you want an exciting DD video 😂 And then Wild Boys will blow your mind!! 🤯

my favorite Duran Duran song and fav performance., they really needed to do a full out rocking version.

What a blast from the past, simply brilliant from the brum boys
Styles and Sherin in 2023 this is what its all about watch and learn.
They were on top of the game here.👌👊🏼👍
I was 13 when I saw my first gig in this tour back in Dec 1983. DD are my all time fav band and to see your reactions os a joy 😊

Yes mel your exactly right!.. DURAN could rock it like any other rock band !.. people seem to forget about that!
@@paulgrant1988 I know so frustrating. I Just found edge of America/lake shore driving omg!
@@melglen1049 yes both songs are just awesome!!.
Haters gotta hate. Won't change much
I always loved that they could also rock from time to time. Another vote for these two songs: Wild Boys (Do the music video!)
and New Religion, live.
Union of the Snake live is also a totally different beast from the album version- much gruntier!
Absolutely awesome
As life long duranie I can honestly say these guys are just as good in concert today❤❤❤❤❤
Andy and John playing guitar together, almost as if they're competing (of course they're not, it's just pure fun)... Simon twirling down the stage... that drum... that keyboard... that vocal! Wow!!!!!
I saw them on this tour in the mid 80s. It was an awesome show!
I loved this performance!

🤔🤔 The Wolf Hunters don't know Duran Duran's "Hungry like the Wolf" 😉😉
John Taylor is arguably the most under-rated bass player ever.
Duran Duran 👍❤
they're a really good live band. I feel bad for Andy!!
You should see "Girls on Film" from the same concert: they move quicklier if possible 😂❤️
Ooh i love duran, best band out of the new romantic scene ❤❤❤❤
The gloves Simon's wearing control the overhead theatrics.

THE WILD BOYS!

He won best bass player in 2021!!!
Totally how there live shows where then.
I am trying to find this concert ( as the lights go down ) but cannot find it anywhere!
John Taylor and Andy Taylor 👍🎶🎼🎵🎸
John Taylor is self-taught in guitar and bass. Nick is also self-taught...
Simon LeBon vocals
John Taylor bass
Andy Taylor guitar
Roger Taylor drums
Nick Rhodes keyboards
None of the Taylors are related!!!
First real boy band, But they all could play. And write.
Paula Abdul actually actually choreographed Simon’s dance moves for this particular show. 4 real
I would love to know how you got the facts on this? Duran Duran has been my favorite band for 43 years and never heard that.
Did you catch the backup singer smooch at 3:56 in lol. Players
Fun fact John stepped on a broken bottle and cut his foot really bad right before this stuff was recorded that besides stitches he had a shot of morphine and a line of cocaine about every other song so he could play and do the filming
Please react to DD Wild Boys!
I hope power station too ❤😊✌
Great reaction you should listen to Sinner or Saint from them..its quite different.
John Taylor is badass...
Please react to New Religion or Night boat or sound of thunder
Night boat!!
Anyone who dislikes Duran Duran is NOT a music fan!!!!!
Come on. You're The Wolf Hunterz and you've never heard of Duran Duran's breakthrough hit, Hungry Like The Wolf?
Full disclosure: They were doing a lot of cocaine at the time
Duran Duran could skip from pop to rock to rap to emo to AOR to serious artsy stuff within the same ALBUM
I think you're being dazzled by film editing. All the moves are real, but probably not all captured in one song.
No no. Era in una canxone
