The iPad 6th generation works perfectly for me. I got this when it came out. The battery life lasts all day. I think it is worth it for 2021

Just bought my iPad 6th gen after using the iPad mini 1st gen and ... maaan!! What a change!! I’m so happy with it and I hope to have it for a good few years.

Got this back in my 2019. Still going strong. I mainly use it as an e-reader for kindle and pdf books. I can see myself using this for at least another 3-4 years

its slow as hell. In 2021 there is iPad 9 with a 13 bionic which is 2.5x faster. or 250% faster

@@Jimbowholivesinsoup you won't get ios 16 on this on September. so yeah it's not worth it because if you buy a used one there's a good chance it's been used for 3-4 years lol. It's going to be at the point of death(for the iPad).

Oh? I didnt know it came out in 2018! I remember my dad bought it at that time, (2018), because i dropped my iPad mini. I was really happy, and to this day it still doesn't have a single scratch and It still works amazingly.
I mean, those tests, even an iPhone 6s could fare. What I would love to see is how does it do in note taking, the actual battery life with that usage, drawing tests with apple pencil, etc.
i have this iPad and everything works fine. Just don't forget to change the screen protector to paper-like, if you have any.

I still use my 6 everyday. I’m a chef and the pencil is perfect. One day I’ll go to a larger iPad. But this has been great.
This has been 2 years on my hand, and mostly I use it also a second monitor for my laptop, and it serves right for it.

My iPad 6th Generation is worth it. Granted, at 2 gigs of ram and 32 gigs of storage, it's not where I would like it to be. However, it still performs, especially with large Lumafusion projects.
This iPad falls and it don’t crack ! It stands ! Updating it makes it faster still worth in 2021

Still serviceable, but I traded my 6 gen iPad in for 8 gen iPad. Was able to make good use of $190 trade in. So only paid $140 for my new 8 gen iPad.
did you trade it in at a shop or at your cellphone service provider? i have a gen 5 that i love, but it's not compatible with the apple pencil which is a huge bummer for me as an artist
Specs of an IPhone 7 in an iPad it's very powerful it's just below the iPhone X in performance terms. Apple optimized iOS 14 to work on an A8 from the iPhone 6 of course it's only due to the extra ram that the iPad got the update but goes to show how far an extra gig can go on these devices.
Watching on one right now. Before iOS 15 it was somewhat manageable tablet for work, it probably does better in older OS versions. It’s not slow but a bit stuttery when you have 2 apps open or music running in the background. Otherwise a great device for some schoolwork & entertainment.
How is it on iOS 16, if you upgraded to that?
@@NorwegianNationalist1 I personally use it for school and very rarely games, and I must say it did really amazing for me with iOS 16! Also installed iOS 17 upon it's release, but that's really the cracking point for it.. Battery dies relatively quickly, and it's the point where it's starting to lag for me while doing basic things, not really awfully but sometimes it can be annoying of course
I am sticking to this iPad because iPad Pro battery charges faster but drains fast and also manageable with no damn Apple Pencil getting in my way and needing battery
I bought this for using guitar modeling software and it works perfect for that
You can get an Apple refurbished one of the 128GB model for $309 US dollars. If you are looking for value that's an incredible one right there.

I just upgraded to the air 4 from a 6th gen. I feel sad for leaving my 6th gen, but it found a good home. It doesn't feel much different in speed with the non gaming apps I use, but I still wanted a different device for games now.

Is it worth it? 100% yup. I’ve had it for 3 years and I literally fked it up yet it’s still working. There might be some bugs but it’s still worth it. Good for watching movies or tv shows. I’d rather watch movies on my iPad than in my iPhone 12 tbh, don’t really see much of a difference except 4k. Only prob is the 2 gb of ram for me.

Hey Ian, can this iPad run Spotify and Tidal? I only want to use it for that(and maybe Volumio), so for music streaming.Sorry but i know nothing about iPads,but have an iphone.
ofcourse it can run spotify… this ipad is badass to be honest, just if you wanna get it in 2022, i think you should get the newer one. I’ve been using this and still running smooth. Not have any plan to upgrade in near future until this becomes obsolete.

I saw a used iPad 6 for 150 euros and another used one for 200 with a keyboard case and a clear case so these prices are cheap for a Wi-Fi 32GB model

I have the 6th gen and it’s great! However if you can then buy the 8th gen instead as its bigger and a tiny bit faster (not too noticeable tho) ☺️
This is from an iPad 6th gen user. It breaks everyday and it can be temporarily fixed by restarting it. It's starting to lag more. I recommend you buy a new iPad

I’m using this iPad but the on key problem I have is that it may crash on games like CoDM battle. Royale. And that. My touch is broken which is why there’s a lot of full stops/ . And when I play games li’e ROBLOX, I’m worse at obby’s. Then. Normal cause of my. Thumb stick since my iPad is broken. And I can’t do animation :pensive:

The iPad 9 is definitely a great device - check for sales on it. Will be a great upgrade.

Should I upgrade ? I use it heavily for classes (assignments , exams , lecture notes) and I’m noticing a lot latency using Apple Pencil. It’s effecting how long it takes me to do each task.

Get a 2nd hand iPad Pro 2018 11'' and apple pencil 2....120hz is great with 9ms latency. Watch samuel suresh videos
If want an iPad go for the pro series. The regular iPad series is very mediocre.
@@hamzaa5900 I think the best option for the average consumer is a iPad air it's a good price and its pretty much the same as a pro ( if you get an m1 pro it's a waste imo because you will never fully use it to it's potential )

If anyone is buying this and wants to play pretty intensive games with a lot of graphics, (ie: Genshin Impact) I did have trouble with lag and A LOT of crashes (like every 10-20 minutes) so please keep that in mind. Also, the storage is horrible (I don’t think that was mentioned in this video) and for me particularly, I can’t download many apps.
The good things is that the costs for repairs (like in the vid) are very cheap. For me, I broke a quarter of the screen causing cracks down the corners and the quarter of the screen not working and it was about £80 to repair (might change in areas). For basic use, it’s great. Kids, excellent cause my 11 year old sister uses this and it’s good cause it does break easily. Keep it away from pets though, it’s not THAT hardy hahha
The storage is the same as the previous 2 models, though now the 9th gen version has 64gb base storage

The iPad can be updated to the latest version of iOS so i would not see a problem with your application if it could update to iOS 13.4
Just upgraded my ipad 6th gen with an ipad air 4 (for 450 dollars since it has sales after the new m1 ipad air came out) Hope it is worth it :)
My Dad’s iPad is a 6th generation so I was curious if he was still getting his money’s worth after all these years, and it seems like he is. One thing about Apple is that they certainly know how to make devices that last a long time.
Haha, typing on one, the dual core A10 and 2 Gigs of ram do show their age sometimes, but it's plenty for just entertainment use cases :)
A10 is a quad core I believe tho?
@@christopherhenderson2773 it can only use a pair of 2 cores at once, either the efficiency or performance cores. It "technically" has 4 in total but on practice it's a dual core :)

It’s possible the other one may have a faulty battery. Could be an easy fix - I would take to a repair shop to diagnose it if you kept it.
My IPad 2nd gen lasted 7 years, this gen should last the same.
