In this video I took some dead hanging branches from an apple tree in the yard to demonstrate you don’t need spilt fire wood in these stoves.
There may have been some moisture in the wood by looking at the smoke but only when starting the fire is it prevalent.

I would say yes, if you don’t I don’t a little weight. They work surprisingly quick for just a hand full of sticks and a half a sheet of news paper
We’ve been making them on the plasma table, I’ve been selling them for $25.00 so it’s not a big investment to try out and mess around with.
