I have to say I, like several others, was NOT sure where this was going at first. But I feel it’s so important to tell you how inspiring it is that you persevered and kept trying things and it turned out beautifully. You teach us not to give up!
I actually like it very much. I choose to watch this video because of the thumbnail. I thought it was a collection of very diverse flower shapes but apparently it was the various colors. I’m starting to learn to watercolor years after wanting to do so. I appreciate this series of videos. Thanks for sharing!

I have been watercolor painting for several years, and I just tried this painting today. This may have been the most fun I have had since I started painting. It is also the first time I have ever used my flat brushes. Thanks so much for this fantastic video!!

I just found this tutorial, I didn't have the wax crayons but used pastels with a wet brush and really liked what I came up with. I don't like clowns either but I love flowers in these bright colors.

Your creations are so refreshing....love your tutorials!!! I love my water-colour crayons. Hope you don't mind...I have a tip! I scratch some pigment onto scrap water color paper and use it as my palette rather than taking from the crayon. Works really well. Thanks for all your inspiration!

thank you, Susan. i honestly don't miss the acrylics at all. i guess you could say that watercolors was my calling. but once in a while, i still reach for the acrylics.

Bon matin! I love the bright colours, especially on a gloomy day.
I have the same issue with using gelatos, they leave a waxy layer that I can't work on top of. I've found that if I spray a re-workable sealant over the gelatos and let it dry, then I can work over the gelatos. The sealant I have (and the only one I've ever tried) is Krylon Low Odour Matte. It doesn't move any water soluble pigments if you spray thin layers and it seals really well.
good tip! i think Kamar varnish would work as well as it allows reworking so i'm assuming i could write over it after. will try and communicate my findings in a future vlog.

I just started painting - I never thought I had any artistic talent in the drawing/painting arena - but I’m proving myself wrong, and you are a huge contributor to that! So a big thank you for inspiring me. And I love this painting you did. Yes the colors are a bit different but they jump off the page with life due to your extra little touches.

You saved it! The only thing that distracts my eye is the white pen on the petals. There are many highlights that pop. The black sketchy drawing put this over the top. I agree with you, I like it.

You mentioned that clowns scare you. I had a clown crash my wedding reception and I took control by confronting the clown and telling her to “leave now!” It was so empowering. One of my guests told me later that I made the clown cry. I’m not scared of clowns anymore.

OMG, I hate clowns too, but I do not see anything clownish about this. They are very whimsical to me. I really love this piece!! It's really beautiful. HI CeeCee,I might be able to help with your dizzy issue? due to spring allergies fluid build-up can occur in our ears which causes us to experience the nausea and dizziness.I noticed you were constantly clearing your throat so that was a clue.Next,when I get in a rut with my flower compositions I go to my Ikebana floral arranging books.The Japanese have such wonderful simplicity with huge impact!This may help spark inspiration for you too via Pinterest or other sites.And lastly,you really turned this piece around! You wanted a colorful foil for the rain and you succeeded!One thing that stood out was using the blue in just one place.I loved it's whimsical feel !
thank you so much, Patrizia, for all your helpful hints. i'm not sure i have allergies but i've noticed that my symptoms get worse when i sleep with the windows open. i'm constantly clearing my throat and i try to edit as much as possible (there were more instances than you've pick up). as for the books, do you have one in particular you could recommend? i have seen a couple of them online but since you can't look inside, it's a tough choice. i agree with you in that the Japanese people have a simplicity and harmony that speaks to me. have a wonderful and creative day!

Like you, I am drawn to painting flowers. Your videos have opened my eyes to other possibilities. Also I have recently discovered the white pen and love what it does to heighten the impact. Gel pens are also a recent discovery that I use them a lot. Thanks for your great tips!
