Finally! A real craftsman shows us how to shape a patch panel we can relate to. Not a god dam nose cone for aircraft, not a aluminum section of a Ferrari. Really appreciate you sharing your skills, knowledge and experience. You rock chum.
It is a pleasure watching you work the metal.I can see the rythym using the shrinker and wheel is important to gain speed in fabricating the pieces. I am building a Sportster into an ADV type bike using 16 gauge aluminum for the fenders and gas tank.Your videos are very helpful and much appreciated.Thank you Sir.
Hi Lazze. After I came across your channel maybe 18 months ago, I watched every one of your videos! They are excellent, but today I think this is THE best 9 mins or so out of all of them. I'm amazed that you made such a significant shape in such a short time. Well done. Regards Mark in the UK
Compliment from me. Great video, well explained and could be very clearly understood. Being a metal worker myself it was a pleasure to see your talent. While listening to you it became clear that you explain so well because you not only have experience but can feel what you are about to do. That is why you are successful at what you accomplish. Have a nice day!
I love these videos, and it really helped teach me what a English wheel was and how it is used. I was brought up and taught hammer and dolly and grinder finishing. Nice videos.
I I enjoy watching yourvery imformative vidoes shown by your professional people out there and tirelessly sharing their wisdom? tanks for your efforts, how I wish someday I can contribute too
Very helpful video , I was trying to do this the hard way without education , repairing 4 x 4 bodywork , thanks indeed for sharing your knowledge & experience .
Hi there:) I’m really enjoying you videos, thank you so much. May I ask you if you could direct me to which one of your videos could help me to learn how to make a curved circle? I won’t need to create a full dome/half sphere, but rather just a gentle curve (center of flower). Thank you:)
good explanation, its all about the cutting, bending, shrink, and stretching (the way you combined those determines the shape your creating in your sheet metal), I am still wondering though when you choose a planshing hammer machine vs english wheel vs the smaller shrinkers/stretchers in general. As well as creating the borders around panels such as fender, door ,and window panels to name a few.
Im sooo gratefull for your efort to explain. I know that you seling tools but i know how much of everything is needed to finish any project from scratch to finish. Thank you for sharing. I am new suscriber to your chanel!
Nice that you don't have to hammer at it. Would you say if you could only buy two machines, A English wheel and shrink-er / stretcher would be the best two to choose? Thanks,
Great video! I'd like to do some body panel fabrication myself and the shrinker is a reasonable price but I don't think an English wheel would be in my budget, is there an alternative?
shrinker/stretchers are great if you want to make mincemeat out of your panels. ok if you have an expensive english wheel to smooth out, otherwise hours of planishing & sanding. always preferred sandbag & hammers, also better for developing skills.
Pedro Fredericksen he made a cab corner for a pickup truck. I wish he held it up to the truck itself but it's the bottom corners of the cab where water tends to collect and rust out.
AWILDTravis whis special hammers and special wood anvil , you can do this fingers in the noze like we says in france . You must do a - sorry for this word , i don't know what do you tell that in english- , recook ? In french " Recuit " a thermical process who give soft resistance to the metal you know ? Sorry for my english
The English term is "anneal" (I do not know where the word comes from), but "recook" may even be a better word since that is exactly what you are doing. "Cooking" the metal again to relax it.
Sir, most think I´m crazy for ´n I love more in my live is tools, that your tools is kind thing I wish to have in my garage shop, I don´t have a garage shop but I wish that too =) the only problem everything is almost impossible to do or to have in my fu**** country, I wish have borned in USA =(

You have got the balance right . Between explaining & demonstrating , the verbal & visual . You are a teacher , man .

What company makes your English wheels and shrinkers and stretcher
Why not slightly heat the part to make it more mallable to work with using the English wheel?
Review Alat Yang Di pakai Membentuk plat , Yang di injak pakai kaki , cara kerja nya bagaimana
fun fact: the sounds that the deep shrinker makes at the beginning are similar to the noises my dog make when eating
Kind of the same sound my father in law makes when he eats as well 😀
@@mrSkandalpolisen if your father in law loses his teeth you know where you can buy him a new set now.
Good show, thanks for sharing!
