I just bought the 850 GS Adv and absolutely love it. You captured why the 850 is a really great all around adv bike. My wife and I ride two up and love it!

Nice review,however, All the things you mention like bigger footpegs and adjustable rear brake lever come standard on the adventure model,so after adding all the accessories you added,basically you converted the regular gs into a adventure model,that makes no sense (of course it does if you sell all the accessories),since regular gs plus accessories =same price as adventure model.
and get bigger fuel tank etc.
