I started off by reading the instructions and it actually told me the opposite of what I needed to do. It's as simple as pushing and the wire initially feeds and then the opposite direction of the wind arrows, at least that's the way I did it. Thanks for the video. The instructions are confusing.
Hmmmm could be the buttons on the side! I just made a video on this and am going to post it this week. It might be helpful because yours could be jammed!
I just figured it out for me. You need to PULL UP and THEN twist DOWN. You will notice the line slowly wind up as you continue to pull up and then twist it down. Idk if this helps anybody, but it's almost the opposite of what I did here...
The ego I have automatically goes “up” and you only need to push down, maybe you have a newer version? Either way I’m sure it’s helpful for people! Thank you for sharing your experience.
This always makes my hand hurt because it’s not so easy to push it down and it’s so wide my hand hurts from being outstretched for so long. I dread re stringing it every time. 😢

You might need to re-thread. Also, when you twist you need to push down hard then twist. Pushing down hard grabs it then you twist. At first, you will feel like nothing is happening then you’ll see it start winding. Hope this helps!

It’s kinda hard/annoying the first time but once you get it after the first time it gets easier each time. Just keep pulling it all the way out then try again, you will get it! :)
NOPE mines just twists the line in my hand ok mines is older but spool does not 'click' or depess just spins constantly holdng line whilst threading through guides that fly off as soon as it starts all while trying to seat the spool ive spent more time trying to respool than cutting ok maybe this is an rarly model (seen the auto spool) but this thing is worse than useless it sets meback major time gonna throw it in the shitpile
Don't buy these trimmers. Winding the twine is such a pain, the spindle gets dirt in it and doesn't wind easily and at this point at all. Otherwise a nice trimmer.

Just push it through, I was only able to get it to go through in on of the holes so make sure you try both sides

any ever replaced the head with something else? I have no problem getting the string in. It fails to feed out 90% of the time. I’m over it.
On mine, you hold a button and it loads automatically. Same tool, but must be a newer version.

You might need to re-thread. Also, when you twist you need to push down hard then twist. Pushing down hard grabs it then you twist. At first, you will feel like nothing is happening then you’ll see it start winding. Hope this helps!
