Every year since the return of Nokia, a retro phone has been brought back - a way of celebrating their glorious past while they also forge into the future. It started with the 3310 candy bar, then there was the 8810 banana phone, then this year Nokia is bringing back the flip phone: the Nokia 2720.

Ikr, God damn. Well with foldable displays coming soon I wouldn't mind flip phones coming back, but not these older designs with full dial layouts. I'm looking at the new Razer, it'll be pretty interesting, though I'd prefer something more like the Galaxy fold.

I love flip phones, I have never been able to understand why the smartphones are seen by everyone as if they are the only type of mobile phones that exist. Feature phones, especially the flip phones are(were) much better in terms of their wide array of design features. Smartphones are just so plain, they all look almost the same with similar sizes, similar colours etc.

Dude, I remember meeting people like this guy back in the early 2000's and late 90's at Best Buy. They were super cool and positive and knew everything about all of the products in the store. I used to go there just to hang out and chat with employees.. Now, everybody in that place sucks and all they care about is going home and getting off the clock

I'd say that while Nokia phones are rarely "innovative" Nokia as a whole has been one of the most solid brands in general in terms of support, especially for the lower-end of the market.
They used to be the most innovative company before the Android and IOS devices came in.

Been considering replacing my Samsung note 10 with this. I'm fed up with being on my phone constantly. I miss just having a phone for texting and calling, then getting onto my computer after school to use MSN and check MySpace. It was a happier time.

I have had many Nokia flip phones and they've all been excellent. Glad they're coming back.
Amazing, I'm still using the original since 2011. It has great battery life and is very reliable. This new version is a much needed update (4G), though seems a little overpriced where I live. (100 euros)
I missed my chance to get a flip phone years ago. When I was ready to buy, the world had moved on to big bulky smartphones... I might just buy this one for the good old days

They can give it a few upgrades
1. A front camera
2. A 360° hinge so it can "bend over backwards"
3. A touchscreen display that you can use for gaming.
4. Google Android
5. Decent processor
6. Decent storage

My new Nokia 3310 is a real life saver battery life is so good, talk time is very long, and if only used for SMS it lasts more than a week. For a frontliner communication is of utmost importance, good ol' Nokia battery life wins it for me. I wouldn't mind getting this flip phone too
