  • Snapshots. Shorter, snappier videos that get straight to the point. All the technique, without all the padding!
    If there is such a thing as an 'autumn vlog', then this is mine! I spent two and half days exploring Hampstead Heath in North London and thankfully, didn't get arrested once!. The views, the trees, the autumn colours, even the people who visited the park, all became subjects for my camera...whether they liked it or not!
    I’m Craig Roberts and e6 vlogs is my channel. These vlogs are a taster of the videos I produce for e6, the subscription service I run from my website. e6 offers videos, eGuides, eBooks, podcasts and more. If you love photography, you’ll love e6!

    Hi Craig
    Really nice photos, I spend a lot of time on the Heath and I wish I'd managed to take any photos half as good as yours!
    But if you don't want to upset all of us locals, PLEASE don't keep calling it a park! The whole point is that it's unspoilt open land that has been farm and common land, for example used for grazing in the past, which is pretty unusual so close to central London and we really don't want it to be "parkified".
    But anyway I'm glad I found your channel, it should give me some excellent inspiration for my photography.
    Regards
    Nigel

    Another great tutorial in photographic "seeing" as usual. One counterpoint on the drone question. Yes everybody is using drones these days, and so everybody's drone shots look the same as do the resulting videos. I have confidence that you could find a way to "see" something differently with one and, in the process, do us all a favor (that's favour to you I guess).

    @kenhenley7599 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You certainly didn't need a drone...your images do justice to Hampstead Heath or should that be that Hampstead Heath does justice to your images? Have just spent a wonderful 35 / 40 minutes looking at the first 4 videos in your "Snapshots" series and what a great way to while away a bit of time...especially with a cup of tea and a digestive or two! Looking forward to the next ion the series. Cheers. Ken

    I have never come across any photographer with a better artist eye than you Graig. You see paintings and I do hope that you will pick up brushes one day if you have not done so already. Each photograph just begs to be expressed in oil and canvas. What takes an artist years to develop is just a natural institute st with you, even granting the years of working behind cameras.

    • @e6Vlogs
      @e6Vlogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love the idea of painting, or sketching perhaps, but feel I take photos because I can’t do that. I do often think of my images as a painting or at the least the scenes I capture, I’m viewing as if I was about to commit to canvas, but instead I take a photo. So the process is in my head, but the ability I think, will always be made with a camera sensor. Thank you anyway. 👍

    Life was never made to be easy and sometimes with a camera it can even be harder, I have never been to this park and I dont suppose I will ever get there so thank you for taking us there and you done well to get some nice images. I dont like drones if one came over my garden I would love to blast it out of the sky but I dont have a gun and nobody owns a drone where I live. Thank you for showing us your pictures!

    Inspirational as always!
    I tend to have the opposite struggles, when I use a wide angle I can't seem to find any images, whilst with a telephoto they just pop out to me. Maybe it has to do with how we perceive the world... Although I suppose it is also partly just practice a ton.

    Did you get a permit to use your tripod? Hampstead Heath Byelaw 11: No person shall in any open space, without first obtaining or otherwise than in accordance with the terms of a permit from the Council, erect or place or retain any... photographic stand apparatus. Ignorance of the Byelaws is not an excuse.
    I'm saying it as a joke but the byelaws do exist and everyone should watch out for the jobsworths who are hiding in the bushes waiting to pounce on an unsuspecting victims.
