My husband and I live a few hours away from St. Louis. Anthoninos was the first place we went to the night before he proposed and we go back every year for our anniversary. Such an amazing restaurant and the Hill is by far the best little suburb of the city. So many amazing cafes and delis that have the best Italian subs, canoli's, etc... I'm wishing I was there just watching this lol ❤
I am so glad you shared your visit to the arch and churches., Joel. We went in the nineties, and the arch was closed for renovations then. We had small children with us, so we didn't tour the way you did. Just loved this entire video. Thank you so much, Joel, for sharing this perfect day with us.
I enjoyed this longer video. The second half, taking us on a St. Louis tour, was fun. I’d like to see this type of video more often. I also enjoy your more leisurely eating videos when you aren’t trying to beat a clock. The buffet and AYCE videos are my favorites. You’re a foodie and give good reviews and cuisine commentary.

I'm a little late posting this comment, but as a Missouri, T-Ravs are a must-have when traveling to St. Louis. I live in the southeast corner of the state, but it's always a treat to go up to St. Louis. I've never eaten at Anthonio's but I've eaten T-Ravs to know that they are so good to eat, especially with a nice marinara made from scratch.

Being of Maltese/Australian I know ravoli to be home made with ricotta filling and served with a very rich garlic tomato sauce - this is a different way if seeing ravioli made and I have to admit the filling looks awesome 😊

Growing up here in Canada, I lived in what we called Little Italy and I have to say, I've never heard of toasted ravioli. Thanks for the tour, I've been to MO but always avoided St Louis because of the reputation there...lol

I don't care for them, not very flavorful to me. It's very common to hear that you can't eat them without marinara. I don't like food that can't be enjoyable plain.

Fried ravioli are delish but it’s the taste fatigue I always wonder about. After a plateful of anything, it would get tiresome, I imagine. Plus the grease would get to me. You are really great at what you do, Joel. You did a job on those raviolis. Congrats!
You have to try different ones with all the sauces at the same time. I've had them stuffed with cheese, beef, steak, pork, and shrimp. Having different sauces other than marinara are good too. I enjoy honey mustard with parmesan or thousand island on beef and pork ones. Shrimp was delicious with sweet n sour. They're all pretty good with marinara or Alfredo.
I'm in North Carolina and we make toasted Ravioli in my air fryer as an appetizer. I usually serve it with shrimp cocktail to balance out the flavors. Good stuff! 🍤
Somebody just told me a few weeks ago, in France, the salad is served last to push all of the bullshit out, cleaning your colon and stomach with lettuce leaf. I don’t know what to think about that. You are a great ambassador for people that do similar things to what you do. And a great example for the next generation, in how to present yourself as a gentleman. Watching you eat all that pasta just makes my guts turn. Lols….of course.

I've lived in the STL area my whole life and I've never seen or been in that Cathedral lol. I'll have to check it out in person now. I was a little worried about flavor fatigue with those ravs so that was cool that wasn't an issue. Impressive as always and glad you enjoyed a little time here.

I'm not a big Italian food person, but Joel you had my mouth watering. I have seen ravioli deep fried on the food channel but have never tried it. That looks delicious and good luck Hun that's a lot of pasta.

I've lived in the STL area my whole life and I've never seen or been in that Cathedral lol. I'll have to check it out in person now. I was a little worried about flavor fatigue with those ravs so that was cool that wasn't an issue. Impressive as always and glad you enjoyed a little time here.
