Robert Hoffmann (Tlingit) Talks Carving Tools

In this film clip, Sheldon Jackson Museum artist-in-residence Robert Hoffmann (Tlingit) talks about the carving tools he uses to carve formline design. He also discusses how he cares for his tools.
Hoffmann worked at the museum in July as a participant in the Alaska Native Artist Residency Program. The program is made possible with generous support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Friends of Sheldon Jackson Museum, Alaska Airlines, and private donors.
