'Whatever gun this is supposed to be. ' That, my friend, is the m41 pulse rifle, with over and under pump-action grenade launcher. It's really the secondary accessory /every/ marine figure should have had.
I think I have 3 of them, Ripley, Sgt. Apone, and Cpl. Hicks. I never really had a place for them, but now I have added them to the G.I. Joe team with 6" line. I think these were 5.5, so a little small, but close enough.
That's right kids!!!...watch these commercials..and ask your parents for the toys...but watch the ads well...cause if your young enough to play with them...you weren't old enough to see the movies!!....lol
Came across your video today. I’ve just started collecting both the Alien and Predators series form the 90s. They are so bad that they are good. Lots of fun.
Thanks, Rob. I only had a few of these growing up. Wanted to learn more about the line and this video really helped. I watched it as "background entertainment" while doing work here in my office. Much obliged!
The human figures from the first wave were poor sellers, and Kenner couldn’t get retailers to bite on the second wave (Vasquez, Hudson and O’Malley) so they ended up being sold in the UK only. Years later the three UK figures along with Hicks and Drake were repainted, and each were paired with a repainted Alien and sold at KB.
Awesome video, though some corrections: The line was not known as the "Dark Horse Aliens Line" even when they were the ones that made the comics for the toy line, cause Dark Horse published the mainline ALIEN titles that had the movies to follow and were for lat teens and adults overall. The toy line was actually known by the intended title that was going to be the Non produced Cartoon series called "Operations ALIENS". It was indeed a different story/timeline/Universe with different events that led to the survival of otherwise dead characters in the ALIENS movie. The mini comics complete story or comics CAN be found together in a big trade paper back on the ALIENS Omnibus # 7 I think. Also, no, the Aliens didn't break into a zoo or something like that, what happened in the toy comics story line was that the Space Marines (Ripley & Co) were hunting the Aliens on different colony planets, they would encounter different Aliens depending on the local fauna or if a colony had some livestock like colony ranches and the such as in the case of the Bull Alien. In other worlds the thing was that the local Fauna had animals similar to Earth fauna (4 arm Gorillas, oversized ET Scorpions & ET Mantises, ET snakes and ET Rhinos, etc...). A cool thing that happened was that OPERATION ALIENS was then remade too for the adult line of stories but not in comics but in Collectible Cards and there all the Aliens seen in the toy line were Gene Spliced experiments that got loose on a colony labs and killed everyone. The Flying Alien Queen was illustrated so well looking like the regular Alien Queen but with giant Bat wings. The Marines were seen looking similar to the toy line characters, but they were not named after the toys and were unrelated to the movie characters too. As you get the cards, you also see some of the characters getting killed (Like the Kenner Hicks looking Marine killed by the Bull Alien in a gory fashion). The art was amazing and I think it was the same artist that Illustrated the comic "ALIENS: Nightmare Asylum". Again great and awesome video, I am and have always been a fan of these toys, as they helped me with my childhood fear of the actual films making me a complete fan that avoids the last 2 films made by Ridley Scott, the ACM video game and even the 2nd AVP film 🤣🤣🤣 **wispers** I have 2 Hudsons original and repainted and non were from the UK, the original was from a Toys R' Us and the repaint was from Kay Bee toys as a double pack with an Alien figure as the repaints were (I also have the 2 different Vasquez figures) muahahaha 😁😁😁 And the last line of Aliens toys from Kay Bee toys exclusives was the ALIENS HIVE WARS with some new "Marines", some new Predators and a repainted Warrior alien and 2 new Aliens.
Thank you for these, my late mother bought me these figures to help me feel better after having surgery, I really appreciated the video.

Really enjoyed this long ass video 😂. I just recently started collecting these figures. I’m glad I found your video.
Made it to the end lol. I had a lot of these growing up but my Mum threw them out.
What a great video! I had many of them when i was a child. Lot of fun.

The peg on the flamethrower should attach to the body so the flame activates when you turn Ripley's torso
You didn't put Ripley's flame in to the pocket on her leg...

Crab Alien reminds me of the Centipede Alien from Blomkamp's Alien 5

I think you may have put Bishop's gun the wrong way around, (it should be left hand forward, not right) and that's why the handle snapped off. 😳
Childhood memory💓
I'm still mad the pilot doesn't exist. Also, Drake didn't survive - he ALMOST made it to the APC and then got his face melted off thanks to Vasquez :
