Nice video. In camera focus stacking is a great thing that I have used many times with the 60mm. I have tried several versions of Luminar. I really like it but it makes my computer crash. I look forward to more macro videos from you. I love the way you say 'ladybug'.
Thanks for the quick guide. Especially doing 15 shots without tripod. Can't wait to get outside and give it a try too with the new 90 which arrived on Thursday but didn't have time yet. I didn't try luminar yet as I'm using On1. As the support for olympus /om system is poor I'm considering to change. (no support for high res or embedded lens profiles)
I have Oly and Canon systems, the advantage of the Canon R7 is there is no limit on number of shots for in camera stacking. Add a Raynox-250 to the 100mm and you have x2
@@EmilieT thank you. I first went from the sony a6600 to the a7iii. I found that to be a bit sluggish so then I got the a7riv. Nice camera but again it had blackout being none stacked sensor. So shortly after the a1 came out I owned that for 4years. So it was a very hesitant jump but I told myself if I find a camera that checked off everything on my list in apsc I would do it. Ff camera lenses that I had were just too heavy. Then this little power house came out so my brother in law and I purchased the om1 systems camera. I picked up the 300mm pro with the 1.4× and 2× teleconverter. The 45mm f1.2. The 12-40 mm it came with. Then I went back for the 90mm and the macro flash also the 40-150mm. And I have never looked back. I think this system is phenomenal, light weight and with practice and skill you notice very little difference if any to ff. Especially with the way the new sensor is in this one. Lol but I don't have to tell you about that. Just so excited about everything this little thing can do. To have a 600mm in 35mm equivalent to 1200mm with the 300mm pro and 2x teleconverter in such a small lens is incredible. If that was my ff camera I'd need a wheel barrel to carry it around. Lol any how pictures are sharp vibrant. Pro glass is amazing. Actually water splash resistant. So if I'm caught in the rain or at Niagara I'm confident I can get the wide angle shot I need and have to worry about getting some mist on it. Anyone on the fence with this camera really can't go wrong.
Thanks for a wonderful clip, Emilie. I think I need to find a rich uncle to buy me that 90mm lens!😉 I have known of Luminar Neo for a while, but never really tested it. I mainly use ON1 for my photo editing. It gets lots of support from the company with monthly webinars and regular give-aways, and seems quite intuitive. ON1has photostacking and panorama stitching as well. I think it does a very good job for post-processing, although its "tack sharp" sharpening is somewhat fanatical in its default mode. Thankfully, this can be tailored to suit. I also have a fondness for DarkTable which rewards those who persevere with it with some extremely powerful features.
Hello Emilie, j'espère que tu vas bien? Have you ever done a video about how you configure your flash (and your camera in that regard)? I own the FL-700 as well but I confess I struggle to set it up properly...

Thank you for this video. I stated using Luminar 6 months ago. I don’t use Lightroom because I am a 72 year old senior and don’t want a monthly fee. I like Luminar because it is almost like Lightroom without the monthly fees plus I am not a professional photographer and learning about photography. Thanks again for your wonderful videos
Great video... I'm using a nikorr 105mm MC and stacking with luminar neo.. my only question is how to decide whether to go for 1:1 magnification or just close up?
Hi Emilie. I have just bought my OM 90MM Macro lens and I'm using the OM1 Camera with it. Do I have to have the clutch pushed in so it is in auto for focus bracketing as well as focus stacking ? I'm really enjoying your videos. 😊
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, you can not be in manual mode with the clutch if you are doing focus stacking and bracketing. Have fun with your new 90mm macro. Such an amazing lens.
Je viens de m'abonné 😘( j'utilise également la marque Olympus depuis très LT) J'ai actuellement OM 1 Mark II et EMX1 'envisage de prendre également OM1 afin d'évité de changer objectif à chaque fois Bonne soirée Alain
Very interesting video as usual. I’m really jealous though - OM haven’t started shipping the lens here in the UK and I’m getting fed up with waiting for mine to arrive! Photoshop for editing for me. Lightroom didn’t exist when I first stared using PS and I’ve never got used to it!
Hi Emilie. Useful video clip. My 90mm macro should arrive tomorrow 😆😊 I use OM-System Workspace, Topaz and Affinity to edit so your editing is not directly relevant to me. Agree with you about over editing in post production. Many people “overcook” the photo which ends up looking like an oil painting. I will be upgrading Affinity with a view to doing the bracketing / merging of photos. Your video clips are great for amateur photographers / videographers like myself where everything needs to be slowly explained. Will update you later on situation with my 90mm macro and hopefully testing on a wildlife trip I am doing to New Forest in UK 🥰😊😊
I use Photoshop for focus stacking raw files edited in Lightroom or Bridge and usually get reasonable results. How does Luminar Neo compare to Photoshop for focus stacking and does it have any advantages ?
Great lens!!! I like that they are using environmentally friendly packaging. I like the desk you were sitting at in the beginning of the video. Where did you find that? Could you do a comparison of the OM1 and the OM-D E-M1 Mark III. I'm wondering if it is worth upgrading. Love your videos!!!
Ah yes I can do that in a future video. For me the new sensor and the bird AI was worth upgrading to the OM-1. Will do a new video in the future about it. The desk is from Work from Home Desk. It is great as you can take it down and it is modular too. workfromhomedesks.com/collections/wfh-desk-bundles
Love the video Emilie, including the unboxing which makes it exciting, but a bit frustrating because my retailer says the earliest I can get the lens here in the UK is mid April😢. I’ve just bought the same flash gun you use and a cheap diffuser from Polaroid to get me going on macro as I’ve never really got into before. So I’ll be trying out the 60mm with my new set up next week when I’m in Spain for a few days. I’ll take my i pad mini with me so I can edit in Lightroom on the go. I’ve never used flash before so this is really uphill learning for me! Have you done a u tube on using flash for macro/close up or can you recommend one, as basic as possible!!
Thanks for this Emille, a really nicely balanced video. Always enjoy a good unboxing. One question for you? Is the body of this lens metal or plastic? Still waiting for mine in the UK. Had to wait 4 months for the OM-1 hope it won’t be that long.

Nice video. It would be great to see a video on 90mm vs 60mm for insect photography and a discussion on bracketing vs in-camera focus stacking
Thank you Mark. I will add it to my list of videos to make. I appreciate it.
I just got mine aswell so I can't wait to use it

I'm 74 but I do not like Luminar. I like lightroom, Nick Collection and Topaz software for macro photos. To stack I'm using Helicon Focus, the best
Can you do focus stacking with the OM-1 and 90mm I’ve done every setting and it won’t focus stack
It definitely works. Make sure to not have the manual clutch engaged.
Sooooooo tempted....

You can buy them at the OM SYSTEM store. It is pretty new and they have new design coming I believe: omsystemgear.shop/collections/t-shirts
