Thats really just due the the grade update. It has low-ish health for a legendary. But that. means it will still outclass all common, uncommon, and rare mechs for hp and most stats in general. Thank the grade update for that stuff....

Ye it’s like an even more p2w kill shot. Really hope gear hub comes out soon, and also more ways for everyone to get a good chunk of a coins and credits. (Like Grindy events that give 1k acoins or 300k credits), and have it so everyone can get these rewards not just like top 3.
Basically, the good thing about Nomad is if you love Killshot but don’t use it because it is too weak since the grade update, well here’s a newer upgraded Killshot that can better handle the hp and damage requirements for having a more OP hangar. I can see the appeal as Killshot is classically an all around very fun mech and it’s hard to say goodbye to it due to it only being epic and hence not strong enough for the bots since the grade update. So if you absolutely love Killshot, here’s a better Killshot for you now for your OP hangar. The design is interesting. It matches with the vibe of Scorpius. Btw, i hope when they redesign the mechs they take off those stupid blades from Eclipse. They look so stupid and you can’t see your weapons because they block the view; just stupid useless blade wing looking things. Anyway, cheers @scape211!

This mech is good for players that prefer control point matches. Imagine having 3-4 dash mechs in a match, pretty beneficial. Although i think f2p players would probably struggle to get Nomad, as well as all the other new mechs and weapons.
Not really? CP matches is all about taking 1-2 points then holding the central point while playing cover, dashing from place to place is just an easy way to get you mech blown up. The fact that it dosnt even have better energy than surge or eclipse just cements it as a shittier version of both
@@kmel3588 cpc is not just holding center while playing cover. Sometimes your bots are shitty and you lose your base control points. That's when dashing mechs become really useful because they allow you to reach your control point quickly. Dashing from place to place is not always a good idea, but as long as you know what you are doing its helpful for finishing wounded mechs. While Nomad isn't a better than surge or eclipse, it's still a dashing mech and it has its potential. It really just depends on playstyle.
You can just as easily back cap around with mechs like surge and eclipse, with the end of implant discount removal coming peoples hangers are going to become far more inflexible and you have a choice between nomand who can back cap in cpc or surge/eclipse that can also do that plus be far better in ffa and death match
I play 90% cpc. Unless the opposing squad is very strong, the squads I run in take home and centre and push on for a shut out. We don’t sit back. It works very effectively.

I kind of don't like this mech. Through, at least the animation is nice. Which reminds me, Plarium should start remaking animations for older mechs ffs. Slingshot somehow having a far better looking dash animation than Killshot annoys me a lot.
Yea I agree. Given the potential updates they are doing visually from the Dev Vlog recently, I would hope new animations come with it. But we will see.

so true! also be wary of videos that show him dominating by killing stuff instantly. Those are likely people who power leveled stuff and are facing weaker bots before they catch up to him. He dash is ok, but it wont crush. Its only a little better than killshots in terms of damage.
*Ill say unless that armor when he dashes is on both dashes/good armor then this mech is ok to me but all honestly cant wait to get it and only get one blueprint from achievements and pay 230 or more just for one blueprint and man im just still sad about implant removal because i wont lie not having to spend more than 1k a-coins probably, just to experiment with builds i want was actually fun and kinda what kept the game alive to me as a F2p and occasionally p2w player*

I wanted to ask, how often does the double dash come into play during attacking? Only cause the number of times I nearly one shot with Killshot and wondering how well Nomad works in that situation. This video given a much better idea overall.
Hey bro! Thanks for your comment and question. The double dash felt like it came more into play in less than maxed matches. By that I mean if it was bought early or at it’s natural star rating. Mainly because targets at that time have less means of chewing you up fast. Typical top end stuff like bastion and surge are going to be hard for this mech just like they are tough for killshot. Nomad has more potential to survive but it will still be tricky. Nomad will also be tougher to one shot as he has an armor buff when dashing which cancels out side and back shots to just do regular damage. So he has that benefit but still a little squishy. I personally would need more play with him to find the sweet spot of timing on when to use his ability. Only had like a day of testing so far 😂

@@scape211 Figured as much. Killshot was never meant to be used too aggressively anyways. I more likely see myself using the Double Dash to get in and out as quickly as possible. Most my deaths while running killshot is due to not being able to retreat sometimes.
CPC going to be a lot more challenging with this speedster running about.

In all seriousness, this mech's... overhyped. If we want to be oversimplified, it's just a better Killshot. And considering that its a legendary, I'm 85% sure F2Ps won't be getting this.
Once the gear hub comes, he will be on that hub and after his premium cycle, he will be available then for in-game currency so then F2P will have access. But it will be a while before that happens i assume.

I only see lack of creativity of devs. Everything is just repeated content. 4 dashers already. All scouts. So many scouts in the game. And scouts are better than attackers. Tho scouts should just do scouting. They are attackers in disguise. Every new content is just mix match of old stuff. 3rd unwanted CQ pilot when guided was needed. 3rd shotgun lol with same old overheat effect no new feature or debuff. 2nd nade launcher with just added stasis, see nothing new or creative here too lol. Incompetent devs. All new maps are of same basic style, small cramped up. They Keep working on stupid spreadsheets and say chain gun is better lol!! Its worse than carbine dudes

Honestly I am realising how OP stealth is in the game, surge is still better than nomad just becoz of that. Similarly with eclipse as well. technically he is just like killshot, but I think he will be really useful for players who like a fast hangar

This could be a great mech, it even deals more damage than Onyx's Quad Rocket
Plarium needs to do something about the tournament. Be honest, who's tired of people using a 4 -6 star Nomad paired with a Plasma Cannon 2, or Ember Gun 8, or any close-quarter weapons that has 6 energy? Ever since Nomad came out, people who got them have no dignity to use their Nomad on other people that are probably in Tier 2 - 4 or something. The devs need to make a requirement where all the mechs one person is gonna use have to be in similar Power.

honestly this mech is perfect for sp droppers.....they will use that multi dash to rack up 50 and 60 kill winning every tourney against low level players to continue to ruin the game....Plarium will continue to do nothing about it....except of course charging for implant removal...f u Plarium...
Okay, first glance: Odd. Gives those strange vibes. His spherical wheel just .... I donät know what to say, I am so used to slick profile of dash mechs that this design throws me off a bit.
To the stats and mechanics: Ability damage OH MY GODNESS. I knw that this mech is legendary but 70k that can be boosted with pilots is a force to recon with. Hp is totally fine, Windo in-between dashes is not big not small. Considering that it takes reduced damage while dashing I would say it will be able to eliminate first target and then get away/stun next opponent who was not expecting to recieve 70k damage to the face so fast
Either way, Scout mechs are over-rataed. I'm more excited for Legendary version of Panther and Guardian, Which will eventually be released in the near future.
hm. So either you go with some missile racks, VRPG, Graviton beams or railgun (and maybe barrage weapons) for hit and run, OR you go with something heavy at close range, live on a cliff and want to get destroyed young getting first blood and 2 more enemies with you
something that i dont see mentioned in this video is that you take 60% less damage for a few seconds after both your first and second dashes. take, say, a maxed em12 with maxed implants (easiest to calculate). it deals 99k damage with a standard shot, 198k damage with a crit shot (both of these values are at optimal range of course). while in nomads reduced damage "phase" after a dash, a standard em12 shot is dealing 39.6k damage, and a crit shot deals 79.2k. if my calculations are correct, that means you theoretically have more hp than bastion for 3 seconds, and the dash time implant improves this to 4.5 seconds. that being said, nomad is an incredible option for hunting down ems on certain maps, as you can use the dash to tank shots. it also makes nomad quite difficult to kill in that time frame, so you can also use the chain dash get into close quarters, deal your damage and get out without severe punishment. i dont have nomad, but i think people are underrating the mechs capabilities
note: it was originally rumored that nomad would take no side and back damage during the ability, but it actually is just a 60% reduction to any damage which is arguably better

You cannot deny having 3 Dashing mechs exactly the same as Killshot is not "being creative", their ideas are slowly going down as just copying content that already is in game, and i used to enjoy this game that's why i care for it's future, but yeah it's easier to say i'm a fanboy that is angry👍

Generally I don’t think he automatically hits top 5 as easily as some other mechs, but I’ll tell ya, after playing the MACC, he’s top in the competitive meta fs.
God forbid Payrium comes up with something unique instead of copying something already in game. Lazy, lazy devs!!!
I dunno if I would say the devs are lazy. More so that the parent company or marketing/sales wants the least investment for the money. The devs what to make cool stuff, but the overhead company wants to make money with as little effort as possible to maximize profit. And as a result, we get what we get….

i still prefer killshot,because
1.dash dmg radius.i often damage or kill just because i dashed close enough,even better if there is 2 of them.
2.cooldown.sometimes i had situations where i dash,dont kill but they still have reload or i find a cover,so i can strike again.6 and 8 seconds is a difference.
that said,the dash and dash away tactic could be useful,altough not as much,i dont think.and chain dash,it have potential but we have to know by how much we reduce dmg while dashing,cause otherwise if there is 2 of them,you gonna die fasyer than you can look around and dash again.
overall,its a cool mech,but not a must have.
im curious how well we can use the chain dash when facing terminator bots with 100% accuracy
It’s tough. You gotta bait out fire and be aware of other murder bots. Tricky stuff for sure
How do you get on test servers
Okay. Even if you somehow overshot it or missed your target I assume you are not gone instantly. You have some hp to get you out of 2v1 or 1v1 but I think you will see a problem when you are getting hsot by 3 separate opponents. Good thing bots run beams with low damage, but players run heavy burst weapons or heavy duty/ arc torrents, so you'd better not miss or it will end up badly

And Nomad has a different gameplay unlike killshot you really wanna keep a close range weapon or something like the railguns12 or the carabines12 missiles rack12 just burst damage
