I was in my teens when I watched this awesome movie. I prefer the Cantonese version which had more emotion and feel to match the phenomenal action and sword fights. Donnie Yen and Leon Lai were awesome in their roles. Thanks to legendary director Tsui Hark for giving us a masterpiece along with the powerful orchestration by Kenji Kawaii.
I found this film not particularly enjoyable, to be honest. The movie did have some good music, but it wasn't consistently present throughout. There were certainly a few genuinely impressive action scenes, such as the first appearance of the seven swords. However, in my opinion, the film also had some weaknesses. Starting from the second half of the film, or Arc 2, it began to lose its strength. And the way they ended up in Korea halfway through, only to say "This is home," felt weak to me. Of course, this shouldn't deter you or anyone else from enjoying the film! This is simply my perspective. Have a great day!
@@fanpagehallofreunde2646 Movie was subpar in most places, but theme was good and swordfights were innovating and engaging. As a fan of 七劍下天山 (the novel), I found it sorely lacking. As a martial arts fan and music lover, it is a solid addition to the media of a generation.
Perhaps you should follow your own advice. The one at the very left is not a sheath, it's the Heaven's Fall sword. Followed by the Dragon, the Deity, the Unlearnt, the Star Chasers twins (considered one), the Transience and the Celestial Beam at the far right. In that particular order.
