I own one. My brother once called it as "common man's lamborghini" 😂 . It's arrow head design makes him say that. This city is a beauty than a monster. Will climb up linear and once it touches 4k rpm , speed climbs up faster . I felt 100-140 is faster than 60-100. If you are on proper road, at 120kmph it's really a carpet glide (still can maintain 10-11 milg). once it cross 140 you start hearing the growling of engine. Till there you will only hear the tyre sound. On a straight road car will be super stable and under control. When we go 150-160+ start feeling car is too light and is kind of hovering(Engine is not at all stressed. I felt it on normal roads, which is bit uneven. Need to test it at one of our expressways). so need to be careful about the curves over 160. It can still go to and beyond 180 but i did not feel its a safe thing on our highways and no 5* can save you at this speed. But at any speed , any rpm car is ultra refined and some times you won't feel there is an engine. At idle you'll have a doubt it's really on or off. Sometimes i used to check the battery indicator to confirm it's not off. You won't feel any sort of vibration any where. Super silent cabin. Greatness on wheels... it's really fun to ride + proud to ride car. You will always smile on 3rd and 4th gear. Can handle any new gens in no time. Ride quality and comfort is superior. I became in love with my city. Kilometers doesn't matter and you will always feel to go beyond.......... If you take good care of your city it will serve your kids needs as well. Many don't, but I often felt it's front look is timeless.
I just acquired a 2013 elegance cvt . What a pleasure to drive. Here in South Africa we call the City the Honda Ballade. It appeals to all ages. I wish I could drive like that.
I have this 3rd gen face lift model. I am using large alloy wheels and wider tyres as per the top limits of 3rd gen specs. Air.. I use Nitrogen.I have fixed an Android music system from Honda servicing centre. So overall drive comfort is top class. Looks and Performance and Comfort all 5/5. A rare combo. Not every car can boast. I have touch 180 once on a straight road and 160 few times. There was no noise or vibration even at that speed. This year it will complete 10 years and few days back I started the engine thinking that it stopped. Car is so silent while on idle. The Car is rugged also. I have driven this car on a rainy season thru western ghats to reach the destination for emergency. The car was super solid. In city it gives 14kmpl and highway with 4 ppl and full luggage 17-18kmpl. I love this model. This design is a work of Art. Now also I keep staring at other 3rd gen cities on the road and i have not seen anyone not maintaining their 3rd gen city. All are well maintained and probably it proves ppl appreciates the value of this car.I think Honda underestimated the value of 3rd gen City and so came with totally weird bulky designs!
190 and that too in 4th gear😂, i have this car in golden colour .It would go 200+ easily once the limiter is removed. I touched 180 in 4th gear and rpms were stuck at 5800, shifted to 5th and was doing 195 at 5800rpms.

Question Bruh: Which Honda City you liked driving more and why? This one or the 4th generation one u drove in previous video. Also talk about there stability, was there any significant difference?
I think the 3rd gen is far better than the 4th in terms of the following, 1.Stability is better 2.Planted well on high speeds 3.Brakes better 4th gen is unstable on higher speeds since it is under tyred Between these two I think the 4th gen quicks up speed far better than 3rd gen
Hi buckleup India I also have the same city the problem what I am facing is when I am going above 140km/h and then breaking I feel a hard vibration on my break paddle as if like breaks aren't been applying properly I donno wheather it's an issue with the city or not. I just wanna know that do you face this type of issue in your same city? Or Can you please suggest me on this matter. Hoping for a reply from you soon.
The problem is with the brakes....the brakes on the stock car can handle a single braking at that speed when you apply the brakes after that it generates more heat on the rotors which is the problem........to rectify this you need to upgrade the rotors as well as pads from a genuine brand
I have a 2011. It's still quite quick. It has been reliable for years but check for any steering issues, it should be light and have good response. Other than that check for suspension issues.
I would cruise around 140 ish and would wait for crysta’s to show up and then I would push the pedal and the metal then I will see the gap between them and me widening and that’s a joy unlike any other
I am thinking of buying one. I have seen one specimen but it has more than 100000 k on the odo, asking price 3.5 L, is it a good price for this car, would be nice to have your thoughts on this before I take the car for a TD.
100000 kms is not an issue for this baby........test drive it and come to a decision it's all your instinct that matters. Try buying it for a lower price say around 3L to 3.2L
Can you guys also make a tutorial for rev matching because I saw the driver is definitely doing it and therefore a professional and would be happy to see it
What is the millage in this car when I cruze 100 to 120 kmph in highway and tell me what is the millage you got in city with ac 🙏🙏🙏 plz reply me I am gona buy this car, your single reply will change my future car 🙏🙏 and tell me what is the price of honda city 2009 50k kilometres done vechicle 🙏🙏🙏
1.This car produces lesser mileage when compared to the 4th gen and 5th gen,but for your reference if you cruise at that speed you'll get 13-15 kmpl. 2.As far as pricing it is difficult to say a value since there are different varients of the car so it'll be in 3.75L-4.75L range
Japanese engineering bud..... Bullet proof reliability..... AMAZING engines..... Ivtec kicked in yoo
Almost 180 on 4th and still got one gear left 🔥🔥🔥

Your comments are spot on.
I have this 3rd gen face lift model.
Looks and Performance and Comfort all 5/5. A rare combo. Not every car can boast.
OH BOY, the description you have put out is timeless
That hovering is due to stock tyres being too skinny.. 195 section ones shall work amazing and make this stick to the road like anything ❤
.. True.. I have the same.
Heart melting explanation for city owner❤l❤❤
This baby is best driven on an open stretch of road, like this guy drove it! 😍😍 118 HP and 145 NM is no joke!
Not about the power figures! But the way this engine revs!!😈
My dad has a cruze 380 nm torque and 180 hp
