Excellent. Never heard of using saline. I’ll try it. I like to measure ingredients into the glass, finishing with squeezing a fresh lime above the glass and tossing half a lime into the drink. This coats the rim with oils from the lime zest. Also, I like Pierre Ferround dry curaçao. And a cherry. 😊
Recipe @ 6:17 20ml Aged white rum (El Dorado 3y) 20ml Jamaican rum (Appleton Estate 8y) 20ml Lime juice 10ml Orange liqueur (Cointreau) 10ml Monin orgeat syrup 0,5g Saline solution (1:5) 10ml Black Rum (Goslings Black Seal)
The course had 40 recipes in 40 days, I thought it’d be a little tiresome to watch me approvingly taste every single one. Rest assured, every recipe is to my favourite specs for each drink, so I definitely enjoy them and hope you do too!
The El Dorado and Gosling rums are poor choices for a mai tai. The best current recipe for imitating the original 1944 mai tai is: 0.5 ounces Appleton 12 year rum 0.5 ounces Plantation Xaymaca rum 0.5 ounces Plantation OFTD 69% rum 0.5 ounces Smith & Cross Navy Strength 57% rum 0.5 ounces Clement Creole Shrubb liqueur 0.5 ounces orgeat syrup 0.25 ounces demerara syrup 0.5 ounces lime juice Grassy agricole rums also have no place in a mai tai.

Stay tuned for a few episodes I loved making! 🍹

Nobody knows what the original Mai Tai tasted like. Your opinion is just that. Your tone and attitude are a clear sign of a faulty upbringing.
Love your channel and recipes. Thank you!
Also are those bamboo straws?
Thank you so much! They are wooden straws, I’m not sure where I got them so don’t have a link to hand unfortunately!
But can you lie over it? 🤨
