Great enthusiasm on the part of the host, making for a funny, entertaining video.
I personally prefer the earlier versions of both the Civic Si and the Mazda MX-5. There were fewer safety regulations for designers to contend with a couple of decades ago, so both of these cars looked better to my eye during that point time (give or take a number of years). The older cars also appeal more to me as I'm exactly not a fan of things like driving modes, traction control or infotainment screens. The cool thing for people that share my sentiments is that both Mazda and Honda have been building great vehicles for a long time now. If you can manage to find a clean, well-maintained example of either car from twenty years ago with reasonable mileage (it doesn't have to be low-mileage), they're still great cars today. (Make mine a manual transmission please.)

Then again when a FF manages to hook up off a dig they are pretty quick. 2nd run was close because the guy had WAY too much wheel spin. When drag racing a front wheel drive. You get a a base run with a low rpm launch. Better to bog than to spin. Next run increase rpms depending on how bad you boy until you get it just right. To where you land close to the power band without wheel spin.

Use to own an s2000 and it was fantastic in corners but let's be honest a modern v6 minivan would eat it in a straight line.
