Hello Guys, since you are going to re-do the Taiwan series, I just want to say that I have heard that Taiwan's entire F-16 fleet is being upgraded to the F-16V Block 70/72 standard, as well as having purchased 66 new production airframes of the F-16V. The new viper has an AESA radar, and is also partially designed to work with 5th generation platforms.

Can't wait to see more of the Morgan, in the world it's from it was a pretty powerful gen 4+/ early 5 fighter from the most advanced nation in the world of strangereal, back in the late 80s early 90s

In the North American X-15, Titanium withstood Mach 5. At Mach 8, the plane melted. One may try tungsten parts, but there the heat resistance of metals ends. I guess it's safe to say that around Mach 5 is where the materials available reach their absolute limits, above that it will have to be ablative shields which are not practical for aircraft. It's pointless having to renew the surface of a plane after every flight.

If you’re traveling over Mach 5, I’d be interested to see what the flight model does when you abruptly pull the stick back to induce Gs. Would it destroy the frame? Does it respect the flight physics in that regard?
The aircraft/UFO wasn't particularly happy with my missile avoidance attempts, lost all control of it shortly after dodging Matrix' missiles.

you know, it's funny how revesed wings are actually aerodynamically better, but bc all pressure builds up in that small area that holds the wing to the aircraft can actually structural problems. with modern compounds, that is no longer a problem, however, if there are shots fired in that area or any kind of damage to the structure, the wing is likely to rip apart, especially at high speeds. Physics did humanity dirty, think abt the insane movements of reverse wing aircraft. The su 47 for example (a project with reversed wings) was actually more maneuvrable than the su 35, maybe even su 57. now imagine that but with f22's structural integrity capable of handling a whooping 15G and su 57's 3d thrust vectoring. Absolute BEAST
Hmmm, my memory must be playing me, but I remember an article in which certain model for trapezoidal wings were evaluated vs. delta and forward-swept wings, and they came on top for both low-level and supersonic flight, having more lift per square foot and also having the properties of airflow redirection towards the wing root as the forward-swept wings do, so in a way the wing design of the F-22, F-35 and so on was more than appropriate.
Anyways, the X-29 yielded very surprising data in that regard, and that has of course influenced many following wing designs, especially for military airplanes. The Su-47 did more of that as well.
@@DonVigaDeFierro ye it is possible that forward swept wings produce less lift, but they are extremely forgiving in matters of dogfighting and not only. Delta wings are actually amazing for supersonic, but they have some issues on subsonic. Forward swept wing jets could be good with the RDE (rotating detonation engine), thrust vectoring and canards. While you can't fly on a big range with turbofans, an RDE will do the trick. I still stand at the fact that forward swept wings, if paired correctly with other elements can create possibly the deadliest aircraft known to man
Air is much less dense at high altitude, therefore less atmospheric heating. Without knowing more about the density of air, material characteristics, and physics of heating it’s hard to know if something like niobium, or even tungsten can withstand the heating.

14:50 The reason Simba was able to make the intercept is twofold.
1) Damp did not, unlike the SR-71, start at Mach 3, but was accelerating while the intercept was beginning.
2) Damp was not, again unlike the SR-71, at 80,000 feet altitude. All these planes can reach 50,000 feet, but none of them can reach 80,000 in the small window of time allowed.

Cap, you said in an earlier video that your GR-modified AAMRAMs (sic) don't, like in RL, burn out while climbing to 100,000+ feet, then plunge down to attack, but due to game limitations, only climb to 50,000 feet. Can they even reach an aircraft at 80,000 feet altitude? I get that S-400 can, but can AIM-120/260?
I doubt it that the AIM 120DS OR AIM 260S would work...they dont have the LONG LONG attack range. Just my guess or the speed to catch the UFO.....the AIM 260 has a reported top speed of Mach 5.

But Simba took an approach track that made the missile's speed/range immaterial.
The question actually was, *IN GAME,* can any A/A missile reach 80,000 feet, since they don't even go that high in their attack profiles.
*EDIT:* Also, Simba said he took his shot at roughly 33 miles. That's not too ose for any missile I'm aware of.

Could you do a US navy vs US Airforce? Rouge carrier group vs everything the US Airforce has to offer in an Airforce base attack defense. Maybe Edward's Airforce base which is probably impossible to attack according to the very limited research I've done. I guess it houses basically everything the US Airforce could want or need in an all out defensive situation.

May I suggest you split into 2 teams, and give each team an allotment of money to use to purchase whatever they want to defend a building, and attack the other teams building. Maybe just use the price on Wikipedia. I would not adjust for inflation since obsolete equipment would be at a lower cost.
The nearest Airbase to the original sighting would be RAAF Pearce, just up the road from me. They'd have had Mirages, F-111's or Legacy
F/A-18's transit through there but only have MB-329 Macchis or Winjeel basic trainers with PC-9s at a certain point. Nothing capable of 3,000Kts or even close to an intercept

this would be much easer if the usa just make a much 25-50% heavyer and larger super hornet that has like four PW-100-F135 engines monuted in the rear in the same spot the A-10 thunderbolts IIs (bascly the micros VERTECH foure engine space fighter bascly with the engines near the elvators and rudder in the back) but with F-35 tail with the same engines the F-35-A and Cs use. then have it use wings with older 1970's craft with the super sonic filduing wings tech but also have the F-35 intenal and extrenal montuion hardponits and stelth tech. then you monut like two to four 35MM autocannons with 1200 ronuds for each. that kind of aircraft disne shuold have the needed power to weight ratio to acaly give those hpyer sonic ufos the aliens/ hypersonic mitary enemy spy stealth aircraft something to worry about. they think they can just fly reclky ni our tertory without trying to acatly coniser ther own saveity. then this mega hornet desine that i just told you about will make them change there mind.
