The Wayans said they found out production started on 3 without them while they were on vacation. They weren't contacted about being involved with part 3. Warner Bros just left them out. They were asked to return for part 5 but they refused.
That was mostly it but also has to do with disagreements with Weinsteins. The two guys who ruined the parody genre with all their movies stole from them too
Anna faris is an actual blonde. Her hair was dyed for the first 2 scary movies which is why is you see her doing interviews for scary movie 1 & 2 it looks badly damaged back in the day.
I was on a flight from Seattle to Baltimore the day he died... while flying the red eye back, the pilots literally asked if there was a doctor on the plane.....I am not sure but think this was a nod to Leslie
Of course I was disappointed that the Wayans weren't in it, and to me it was a tiny step down from the first two movies. But it still made me laugh quite a bit.
Personally I loved Scary Movie 3 it was the first time I saw Leslie Nielsen and became a fan of him instantly digging up his older movies, dude was incredibly funny!!!

I remember seeing this 5 times in cinema coz we would get stoned and laugh our asses off the whole time. Plus the whole “Cindy, the TV is leaking”scene was hands down one of the most iconic scenes of the series. Brenda forever!
I feel no one ever gives screenwriter Pat Proft his due. Not only did he contribute to The Naked Gun movies, but he helped write Real Genius, Bachelor Party, Police Academy, and the Hot Shots movies. Hell, he even wrote on The Star Wars Hoilday Special...um, well, okay nobody's perfect. Everyone always credits ZAZ, but Proft was usually right there with them.
The MJ impersonator looks convincing enough to fool casual viewers. Interesting thing about this is the real Michael Jackson was still alive and could have done the part. It would have been between the release of his final studio album 'Invincible' (2001) and the second incident of him being charged with crimes against children (2003). My guess is he was asked and declined, or the studio used a look alike to save money.

It's actually one of my favorite comedies, also probably my favorite Scary Movie. And the first when I watched it there was a pretty hilarious coincidence. We rented both Signs and Scary Movie 3 on VHS without knowing that the later was a parody of the first. First watched the Signs and right after that Scary Movie 3. It was a great moment.
David Zucker is a far superior film maker to the Wayans, but his humor is definitely more "dad humor." I liked this one better than Scary Movie 2, but the first is the best. The original was focused and one of the best examples of a straight up parody ever made.

They even take a shot at American Idol in this...well literally because they have Simon Cowell appear as himself and they kill him off, but he lives in the extended version of the scene.
