Jimmy love your videos. Just one tinny thing, Estremadura in Portugal it´s not bordering with Spanish Estremadura.
For us Estremadura was a old name for the big region of Lisbon, that actually holds 9 different DOC's. So is facing the Atlantic Ocean.
Thanks for making Portugal a bit easier to understand.

You must know the Amareleja wines from Piteira.
    They are superb.

You must update, the regions have new names Estremadura is now Lisboa and Tejo is now Ribatejo, Portugal is a small country with a big variety of terroirs, and a lot of grape varieties and it's tipycal to have blended wines due to that amount of varieties, we have some foreigner varieties that have adapted very well to some regions like the Alicant Bouschet and.Syrah becoming the main ones in some cases, we have among many other varieties, Touriga Nacional that is spreading to all over the world by is quality and his capacity to give great wines with floral and tea notes, along with his full bodied wines with the capacity to age in bottle and able to be, by it self in a single variety wine, so much more to tell from a small country. but a giant in diferent wines, a must to wine lovers, apart the food that is wonderfull to.

Thanks for the insight! we are currently reviewing all of our materials in terms of the WSET materials so we will make sure we are up to date! And yes those portuguese grape varieties deserve much more exposure.

Is are Tokaji and Greece so small in the WSET that decided not to make videos? I enjoy your videos and they help me study.

Hi Chris - Tokaji is important but I haven't got round to producing a video yet! I have now filmed over 1200 videos in the last 20 months but there are still gaps in certain areas. Greece will only ever be 1 or 2 multiple choice questions

@@WineWithJimmy No problem. My exam is in 26 days and I’m nervous about it. The short written questions scare me.

You missed talking about Madeira and Azores.

Thanks for commenting. This video is following the WSET L3 syllabus and it does not cover Madeira or Azores (the latter I love as I am a stickler for volcanic wines...)

@@WineWithJimmy it does not cover but, definitely, it should cover, because there are wine there too, and they are as Portugal, as Lisbon, or any other region of continental Portugal.
