This is the best ever performance of this piece! You have absolutely captured the Spirit of Brahms as well as the Soul of the Clarinet. You have reached almost absolute perfection. I say "almost," because I'm sure you can still aim higher with your impeccable musicianship and the harmonious way you interact with one another. The second movement, especially, is DIVINE. Please record it! And not just this one, but more pieces of chamber music.
I'm only 4 minutes in, and I'm liking it a lot already.... So far, it's pretty much exactly the way I hear this piece in my head...(my thumbnail is misleading...I actually know some stuff about clarinet stuff)..
I'm a clarinet player and came for Neidich ....and I stayed for the ensemble.I enjoyed the whole quartet's musicianship.:)
