I saw this movie over and over when I was a teenager. They usually showed it on cable TV. The edge-of-the-seat battle with Medusa was magnificent.
I remember watching it for the first time when I was a kid, all my friends thought it was stupid and looked fake, I was blown away, probably the film that got me keen on these classic stop motion features! Thanks for watching Ron.
Nice edition Benn, Clash of the Titans was a great film and the model creatures used with stop motion was superb, not forgetting Bubo the Golden Owl he was a great character also ! Love that poster art in the booklet shame that wasn't used on the slip cover. Thanks for showing us this, take care 👍

Benn this looks really good. Shame there isn’t any art work on the discs. I’m stuck on wether I’ve actually seen this, it does ring a bell. Pretty sure I did back in the day. Great video.😀👍

Its a classic fantasy & adventure movie "Clash of the Titans" & a missing title from the HMV Premium edition which i tend to get a fair few when they do a 2 for £15 deal, a movie that was hard to miss on tv, fine unboxing buddy !

There he is, BLU RAY BONKING Clashing his way over to another Titan to Bonk onto. Funny we just got started to talk again and there you are with a notification that just came out of the Blu Ray Bonk with a dash of Goats Cheese. LOVE THIS FILM. Sadly I never upgraded it since dvd so i dont own it anymore and just the new ones. I need to as this is a way better film all together in music and characters. Yes the effects are really ropey even for the time. They said they had to tone down the quality of the effects due to the huge budget getting many famous high wage actors to appear in the movie instead. Calibos was a great villian in this. What the hell happened to him in the new one, total shit. Need to watch this again soon. Awesome vid man, In fact Im going to order it on Amazon right now.YERE
Hey matey, I thought that you would have had a nice release of this film, I remember you mentioning you liked it on another of my videos a long time back, the budget was def a huge factor in these films at the time, not like nowadays when they throw money at a project, and they still seem to bugger up the CGI, lol, Calibos is one of my favourite characters for sure, and the way they filmed him in scenes, half with stop motion and half in live action was amazing! Def pick this one up, any movie fan should have it in their collection for sure, take care CASANOVA, and thanks for taking the time to stop by and leave an awesome comment!

Hi Benn, I hope you're doing well mate. Yes!!! This is one for my collection for definite. The word "classic" gets banded around a lot and has kind of lost it's cred a little....BUT THIS IS A TRUE CLASSIC. So many iconic scenes with such memorable characters and great performances from a great cast....Sir Lawrence Olivia as Zeus, it doesn't get any more epic than that!!! I really enjoyed the updated version as well (even though I found Sam Worthington very wooden as the lead character), the updated medussa was fantastic and very brilliantly animated however there is something so timeless about stop motion that it's hard to ignore what a great contribution the late great Ray Harryhausen made to these fantasy movies and indeed to young and up coming directors too. It was Ray who influenced my choice of art subject matter, fantasy art has so many possibilities and the only limits are your imagination. It's so sad that the great man is no longer with us, but what a fabulous legacy he has left behind, his work will never grow old. My version of Persueus holding the head of Medussa is my tribute to this great artist, I wished he was still alive so that I could have sent him my drawing. Hey there, yeah, this is def a CLASSIC! I have seen the remake, but I saw it in 3D at the cinema (the first film I saw in 3D) and hated it, not because of the film, but the 3D made me dizzy and feel sick, really should watch it again, in 2D of course, and see what I think of it. Ray Harryhausen was the man, and someone I am proud to call one of my idles, even though most people my age don´t even know who he is, real shame. I am sure he would have loved your drawing! @@blu-raybenn4854 Hi Benn, thankyou for your comment, yes I also went to see it in 3d, was really looking forward to watching the movie in this much talked & hyped new viewing experience called 3d, but I didn't enjoy it so I went back to watch in 2d. 3d may work on some movies more than others but I've never felt the desire to watch anything in 3d. I'm looking into getting myself a Smart TV and either a laptop or tablet, I can't decide between the two. I want to post some of my artwork online, people have been telling me for ages, so I'm gonna get broadband fitted...YES I'M FINALLY CATCHING UP WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD, It's only taken me 30 odd years, but better late than never!!! After buying this classic movie I also need to get the other iconic fantasy adventure "Jason & The Arganouts", another Iconic film...Christmas & Bank Holidays were never the same without these classic movies. I have the made for tv movie Jason, but it doesn't even come close to the original, I hope some Hollywood Studio will do a big budget version and another big screen fantasy take of a Sinbad movie would be awesome too. @@ajlomas7185 Yeah, 3D can be great, but not for everything, I haven´t seen Avatar in 3D , but heard it is amazing. After that first experience, I saw one more in 3D, I think it was Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp, it was ok, but as 3D was more expensive, went back to 2D, and the rest is history. Would love to see your artwork, you will have to send me a link. Jason and the Args is another classic which I need to upgrade (have it on DVD), and yeah, a well done version of Sinbad would be awesome! Take care.
@@blu-raybenn4854 Once I have my broadband set up I'll send you my email address and you'll be more than welcome to have a look. Also having a laptop will allow me to print off my own artwork at home and be able to sell it if anyone should want some of my pictures. Once we're out of this L/down, I want to enroll at Art College and study painting, drawing I'm pretty competent but adding paint to a drawing really brings them to life. That's my goal to be able to paint in w/colour and acrylics too. And in the not-so distant future I want to study sculpture as well, so I can make fantasy creature statues, but one step at a time!!

It was so great in the summer of 1981 when my local picture house was showing "CLASH OF THE TITANS", "RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK", and "TIME BANDITS" all at the same time, i went to see all 3 movies about 10 times each, it was pure magic ! ! !.
You are so lucky to have been able to see it at the cinema, I am so Jealous! And the other 2 movies are classics too, such a shame the cinema experience has changed so much, I never go anymore, thanks Barry really appreciate your watch and comment, take care

@@blu-raybenn4854 Thats around the time i got a VHS player and i started renting films from the video store instead, and of course recording films off of broadcast TV. From that time on there just didn`t seem to be any point in going to the movies anymore.
The Medusa and Pegasus are perhaps Ray Harryhausen's most legendary creations.

You have to admit that the 2010 remake was a better film technically but where the original still wins out is with its genuinely charming story and its incredible rewatchability factor. BTW, Ray Harryhausen is God.
I think the remake was spoiled for me as I watched it in 3D and I hated it, really need to watch it again, but this time in 2D, thanks for watching Barry
