I'd love his take on Bullitt (especially THAT car chase). Don't think he'd done a review of it (yet). Plus Thunderbirds (the ORIGINAL, not the Frakes insult). F.A.B.
What fun! 😃 I have loved this movie ever since it was released in 1963. I was 16. Ray Harryhausen's creatures are fantastic. Thanks for your wonderful review. (I love Dean's drawing at 11:25!)
Really strange to see Nigel Greene not playing a stoic character. Yup, Christmas TV wasn't great in those days. Cheers for your review. Now onto the 'IPCRESS File'.
Love this in-depth review! Ancient Greece, Nigel Green (also in "The Ipcress file" 1965 and "Tobruk" 1967) and helmets with brooms on top can be even better, yes a fighting skeleton. One thing was missing from the movie, the American Greek actor Telly Savalas as Titan from the Mythology.
I think I prefer the stop motion as well. I don't know why but it just seems to have more personality and authenticity. I love shows like Wallace and Gromit. Some studio should be brave enough to do a stop motion fantasy film with loads of creatures. I bet it would be a huge hit for the sole reason that it's "new" and interesting to todays cynical audiences.
L.B. Abbott, Ray Harryhausen and Derek Meddings - all way ahead of their time - 100% actual creativity & imagination. Derek once said (about Thunderbird 2) "If doesn't matter if it's impractical in the real world - once it looks good". Wise man.
The bloke from LA Law Harry Hamlin hooked up with Ursula DR NO” Andress while making Clash of the Titans. The result was a baby for Ursula in her 40 s. The lads name I think is Constantine. But not sure. Not bad for a young actor starting out in the film business. Ursula Andress!!!!!!!!
Ray on Ray, brilliant me owd!
Ray Reviews and Ray Harryhausen, together at last!
Fabulous!
Brilliant, made me laugh out loud MJB
Absolute genius!
Ray puts so much love and craft into his reviews, he's perfect for reviewing Harrihausen!
Cheers George!

An absolute classic, I always prefered this to CGI rubbish. Brilliant review as usual : )) Oh and he does look like Palin 😁

Cheers Rolf. Telly would've made a great argonaut! And watch out for more Nigel Green next week!

Anyone else disappointed when Ray stopped talking about Tony Hart and went back to the film. You should do an entire episode on him
😁
