@@ChromisPasqueflowerBowerbird I was almost always able to get a good repair out of him. The trick was to start with a blessed weapon and only repair one point at a time. If he failed, bless the weapon again before continuing. It took a bit of holy water, but that wasn't too big a deal.
The one who failed a lot more than you expected was Edern, at least in my experience.
