Getting points bounce from what I see, these things need some tweaking to get them set right better to mount them on some rubber take some of the vibration out.

I just ordered one of these, What fuel and oil do you recommend and do you think having the ignition module in a closed box can cause the module to overheat? Thanks so much for all your work and videos. I'm getting this set up for my dad to take to him at Christmas.

The Enjomor is a beautiful, nice little engine for a gift! The ignition module is just fine in the box. All of the ET and EM series engines have their ignition modules in the box (or in a tight slot in the base) and are fine. It does need a few modifications to go from a good to a great engine. See my other videos about the washers I put on the governor, small shorting issue I had with the ignition points, and definitely have a plan to do the brass shoe modification on the steel pushrod so it doesn't grind off the brass cam right away.
As for fuel and oil, I use plain 30w oil for external oiling and the fuel/oil mix I have the best results with is 40:1 from the small engine department of my local hardware store. You can get white gas/coleman fuel and mix it yourself to 40:1 too. Lots of people like running a heavier oil mix (I've had up to 20:1 recommended to me) but 40:1 gives plenty of lubrication and causes a lot of carbon build up already (more oil = more carbon buildup).

Thank you so much for your reply. Your insight is invaluable. I’m a machinist so plan on doing your mods. Thanks again 👍

Fantastic looker, let down by a poor Hit and Miss governor.
