    My family used to go camping in the Teanaway area. We rode motorcycles all over the mountains from 29 Pines to Liberty, Red Top, all the way to Roslyn. I found some cool rocks back then but I had no idea how much amazing geology was there until I found Nick Zentner. I hope to go back again. Thanks for the great videos.

    Thanks for the tour up the hill. That creek looked inviting after your hike.

      Daisy sure enjoyed cooling off in the creek. Was a nice way to end the hike for sure 😊

      Fun day out scouting this spot. Got some nice cool weather until about noon then decided to head back. Found some evidence of agates, Jasper for sure and some Druzy pieces. 🤘 Thanks for watching Shaughn!

      @@BackcountrywithShaughn yeah I had one lil slip by that steep edge in the first part. Was more cautious after that coming down, was a nice area to explore. Not a whole lotta mosquitos or ticks 👌

      Thanks 😁 when I go back I plan to head up a little higher. Was cool checking out this area below that cliff edge. Also a lot more forest to explore in general nearby. 🤘

    That looked like a lot of work for what you brought back. But that jasper was gorgeous! the colors were phenomenal! im not so sure about the agate though. There was that big chunk of seam agate, but it was so weathered it just crumbled apart. And you were finding all kinds of quartz, but you need to find chalcedony if you want to find agate. I hope your next trip up there is with a buddy (besides the dog), that vertical climb up looked pretty hairy. If you get hurt, you got nobody to get you help! Ok, i will quit mothering you! lol The hike looked steep and you sounded out of breath, so i dont think i will he going anytime soon! Loved the video! next time, you'll know where not to go! Beautiful country out there! Thanks for letting us tag along! Thanks!

      Yeah this was more of a let's see what's around trip. Prospecting doesn't always told the best finds, however sometimes you can get lucky. 🤘😁 Luckily I have a few more miles left on these tires and my knees are still cooperating 🤣. Will keep doing these videos until I'm unable to walk I suppose. Cheers and thanks for coming along on this video adventure.

    Sorry I couldn't make the journey with you man! Looks like a pretty sweet spot! I would have pooped my pants seeing that blue surface stuff!

    • @TheRockHugger
      @TheRockHugger  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hahaha 😂 I almost pooped. My first thought was big chunk of Jasper agate, then maybe some ocean picture stone? Never know what you'll find but anywhere around Cle Elum has been good to us for sure man!

    Have you ever brought a snorkel out on a hike to a creek? I feel like some of my most interesting finds have been while doing that. Though Cascade water is nice and chilly at least on the east side you have warmer weather more often to enjoy the cold water.

      I would like to try that method someday and look for gold too. I've seen @pioneerpauly doing that. Seems like a good method in calmer waters. I'm all for it! 😊🤘

    You are in a wonderful area, but from my experience the better outcrops and rock hounding areas are not easy to access and not near trails. Think like a goat and follow the deer.
