    Problem was the heater was not blowing any air whatsoever - but the climate control / heater screen was working as it should
    Screen showed the heater should be working but no air on any settings.
    The cause was the heater resistor - video is to help any one with this issue locate the problem and evaluate if they want to do the repair themselves before sending it to a garage.
    Peugeot estimated the job:
    £96 charge to find the fault (even though we already knew roughly what it was)
    Parts £100
    Labour 3 hours @£40 p/h
    Save yourself some time and cash.
    Part is available at gas car parts or euro car parts for £45- £50
    Or eBay for around £25 but you will need to check it’s definitely the correct one.

    Hi Rickey,
    I also have a Peugeot 207 however the 1.4 16v. Exactly the same problem that you had. After seeing your video I went to the carparts and bought a resistor.
    Happy for us Dutchies we have lefthand drive, so I only had to remove the lower panel at the gas pedal and there he was, one screw loose and the 2 plugs removed and Bob is uncle.
    Thanks a million for your video.

      Only made the vid as I was stuck with mine being faulty and didn’t seem to be able to find any info on where it was or how to change it. Everything I found was conflicting info!

    Great video, only bit missing is how the connector is separated from the resistor. Is it simply a pull out, if so, I’m struggling.

    Have problem with my radiator fan running on high speed every time I drive the car for a bit, any suggestions?
    Don't know what part to order but some told e that it is attached to the top of the radiator on the right side close to the battery???
    And BTW; Love to know the make and model of that 2DIN radio you got there and if you had to sacrifice the dash menu display and steering wheel control for it? Or maybe you have incorporated all?
    I'd appreciate an answer.
    Thanks again.

      Radiator modulator I think it's called looks like some coil, normally when you unplug your thermostat it runs the van everytime the car is runs. The device regulates heat and automated van to heat temperature.
      Another one that blows continuously on high would be the ac blower fan when something is at faul, problem I have, I'm looking to just get the part I need to solve this problem

      @@malcolmdavidinvestments130 no m8, it was totally something else.
      Anyone with the same problem should check the engine breather that sits on top of the engine cover towards the airfilter.
      And it was sold after it was fixed, very nice car, one of those I regretted selling.
      Good day.

    Any idea which other Peugeot or Citroen use the same Resister? As it's New Yrs Day, cannot buy one locally, but have access to various 2nd hand vehicles, could possibly use one from them, if anyone is savvy to what fits...ie part no. etc?

    • @Dipway
      @Dipway  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Miłosz Fedko yes it sounds like that will e a resistor issue. Sometimes they fail completely, and other times they fail slowly and start giving weird faults such as yours! Hope this helps!

    Just replaced my resistor and now it won't switch off 🤔 Anyone got any clues what's wrong? Have I got a faulty replacement resistor?

    • @chunkyfecalbreakfast
      @chunkyfecalbreakfast 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a faulty replacement resistor. Don't buy the cheapest one you can find on eBay.
      It is possible to do this job without taking the glove box out if you have small hands. Just take the two fasteners off and pull the plastic cover off the side of the transmission tunnel as shown in the video and you'll just about be able to see the resistor. Worth a go before you take the glovebox out but its fiddly as hell.
      Cheers to the video maker, I would not have been able to do this without your directions.
