For me, it is the D-Class getting the Foundation Star that makes this SCP special. A D-Class, being treated like a genuine hero. It's novel, that's for sure.
Always wondered since we do hear about d class that Are well behaved and work well with the foundation how many if ever have ever been straight recruited from D class after their 1 month. They ether get terminated or let go In the latter case I can see the foundation using a willing d class that has useful skills it probably wouldn't happen a lot but I think it would make a good story
@@jamesfreeman3617 I'm sure it has happened in some capacity in some SCP, but keep in mind: D-Class are condemned convicts. It would take some exceptional circumstances for the Foundation to recruit and set aside their prior convictions, as they tend to be big crimes. Things like murder, rape, etc.
@@daniell1483 incorrect not just convicted prisoners are d class while most commonly are depicted as such they can and do use innocent people or those from lesser crimes if needed also foundation personnel can also be demoted to d class as well.
@@jamesfreeman3617 I don't think there is any canon showing "innocent" D-Class. I always think of SCP 93, the "Red Sea Object" when I think about D-Class. In all cases, the D-Class used was guilty of something. Indeed, the SCP wouldn't work properly if they were "innocent" as it reacts with their guilty past in order to work. The D-Class there have their crimes described; the second expedition for example had a woman who was involved in the death of some children, so when she saw some children's bikes, she freaked out. You could make the argument that these were atypical D-Class personnel, but then I'd have to ask, who do you consider 'typical' D-Class? And yes, when Foundation personnel does something particularly heinous they can be demoted to D-Class, but that just furthers the example that D-Class individuals have, in fact, done something heinous.
There's nothing I love more from the SCP universe than impromptu reports from disgruntled agents. There's so much emotion involved from an organization that's usually hyper clinical

This was a good reading, I really like the imagery used to depict the SCP-1983 phenomena. And of course Volgun's lovely voice, narrating it all. I look forward to hearing more SCP articles. I'd definitely love to hear more like the Reality Benders one, every now and then

not me re-listening and getting emotional thinking about what it must have felt like reading the MTF's letter from D-14134's perspective. Hearing about the horrifying things this armed agent encountered and his team members saw and how he's going to die but deciding despite being trapped by the foundation that they were going to put an end to the nest if it was the last thing they did and save all those who would otherwise be killed and transformed
I forget the D-Class’s real name but he actually was discharged for something in t he past from the Foundation and was given a normal life after being given amnestics. But then after a decade or so they can back to him and gave him the drugs that let him remember and asked if he would do one more mission for the Foundation. The guy is a legend and proves that even D-Class are not just thrown away without regard for human life and that they are heroes themselves for putting up with the crap the foundation puts them through.
The passive storytelling of this one is incredible. A D class with nothing managed to have faith and be brave enough to stop the evil. Entirely not prepared for the role, spent several hours navigating the hellscape, and died not even knowing if he succeeded. We have no description about this man. Just that he went in. And did what the previous task forces couldn't.
God, I love your content and when you get the chance to voice act an exploration log or interview it is SUPERB. The mid roll ads kill me though. I’m getting into the story, and boom, when all you can pizza is think about, postmates.
Dr. Millar is the best researcher at Site 19, well when he is at site 19. He bounces between so many sites these days, the foundation keeps him so busy....

I forget the D-Class’s real name but he actually was discharged for something in t he past from the Foundation and was given a normal life after being given amnestics. But then after a decade or so they can back to him and gave him the drugs that let him remember and asked if he would do one more mission for the Foundation.
The guy is a legend and proves that even D-Class are not just thrown away without regard for human life and that they are heroes themselves for putting up with the crap the foundation puts them through.
Someone call the Sisters of Battle, they seem… uniquely qualified to handle this

The worst part about these is that they end. I could listen to exploration logs all day.
The passive storytelling of this one is incredible. A D class with nothing managed to have faith and be brave enough to stop the evil. Entirely not prepared for the role, spent several hours navigating the hellscape, and died not even knowing if he succeeded.
We have no description about this man. Just that he went in. And did what the previous task forces couldn't.
The D-Class personnel are always the unsung heroes of this universe. Gotta love them D's.
