"Proto Man" sounds like an insult to suggest someone's anatomy isn't quite fully formed as "man" O_o, haha Dr. Wiley's not dead?!? lol, I do find it funny that the near-certain-death that ends up not killing villains is such a trope. @6:02 Haha! Awesome list of jokes right in a row! Especially @6:33 rofl The sliding mechanic does seem like a really cool addition. As an adult, I totally understand your critique of it overstaying its welcome... but as a kid in 1990? I was always craving more, because I'd only have a few cartridges and have to swap for weekends to play more. Any game with more content (however banal) was more than welcome. ...but yes, as a "retro classic" retrospectively, it is a different set of criteria
LOL I didn't think of that... poor proto man. The long running series never seem to kill off the bad guy.... Sonic... Mario...Kirby... Donkey Kong... they all keep their main villain! Haha I'm glad you enjoyed the very silly jokes, at least someone got a laugh out of them. The sliding mechanic is great and it added a lot to the game. You make a very solid point though about being a kid vs being an adult. As a kid, you don't want the game to end... as an adult with tons of games to play... you don't care and want to move onto the next. I didn't think of that. Excellent discussion point buddy! Thanks for watching.
@4:55 I agree, very cool scene! @5:05 gosh.. yeah, that looks so plain and lame! Love the robot master introductions 🤣@6:10 LOL that one was too funny though @10:30 that fight looks brutal with the flying pieces! Maybe it's a SHE-devil? haha! that was a great vid TC!
Right? They should have been building off the presentation of the second game, but instead, it took a big step back! Needle Man seems to be everyone's favorite joke, ha. Some of them are very dad-jokey. 🤭🤭🤭 I think you're right, that's definitely the She-Devil version of the Yellow Devil and that's probably why I had such a tough time with her, I was totally distracted by her fat cannons. Thanks for watching, pal!
Mega Man 3 was one I preferred over 2, but that's because it was one we had in our childhood collection. I forgot that it was longer than the previous one lol. Still, great score!
I definitely understand preferring a game because it's in your childhood collection. I have quite a few games where I know they aren't as good as what I think they are because of nostalgia. Awesome to hear you had it as a kid.
This was your best review so far! I like the comparison screens to show the difference in the background! And of course the humor was welcomed as always! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thanks buddy! I thought the comparison was a good showcase to show off how far the series has come with environments and details. Glad you liked it! The jokes were fun to write too, glad it gave you a chuckle. Always fun to get a comment from you!
Another cool review, again I haven’t played all of these so I’m learning as I go from you! I also like how you add the animated series stuff too as I’ve never watched any of the series 🤷🏼♂️ Great job Seth! Also I looked in my transformer comments and didn’t see yours, weird.
I'm having so much fun going through the series again and reviewing them. Makes me appreciate how far we've come! The animated series looks pretty cool too, I'm using it as I think just talking about the plot can be a little boring so I try and spice it up for viewers with a visual aid. Thanks for watching buddy!
It is a great game for sure! I thought the sliding mechanic added so much to the series. MM3 is super fun, I'm happy to hear you played it a ton back when it was released. Thanks for watching!
Your commentary on each robot master was absolute perfection. lol I also always enjoyed the inclusion of Proto Man and how it began to really bulk out the MM lore. Agreed, I've never enjoyed the re-use of robot masters in Wily's castle. It's just filler...
I enjoy writing the jokes for the robot masters haha but you'll always be Hard Man to me. Proto Man definitely added a lot of intrigue to me for the lore and plot of the Mega Man games, I'm glad he was included. But like you, I'm sick of having to battle these darn robot masters again and again! Thanks for watching!
I just want to play these games the more I see these reviews. Sure I can play them in the MegaMan collection but man, owning and playing on those original NES cartridges sounds pure and…expensive. >> Great Review TC!
It's funny whenever I review a game, I always want to go back and play it again as reliving it all makes me want to experience it again. The NES games are very difficult my guy haha. I haven't played the MegaMan Collection although I do own it but I wonder if they made any changes to make it a little easier. I would hope so! Thanks for watching and happy gaming.
So yeah, this game has some obvious and not so obvious issues that can break the game but it's still one of my favorites in the series along with 2. It just has this cozy vibe to it compared to other Mega Man games. Alot of that is thanks to the terrific soundtrack.
Haha I love that you call it cozy. I don't think I've ever heard a mega man get called that! The soundtrack on all of the games are so good. It's really a signature of the series. I love it.
I think it did a lot of cool things! The sliding mechanic is a huge plus and Proto Man was fun to see in the game. Thanks for watching buddy, have an awesome weekend!
I know they have the whole ____ man theme thing going on but I feel like they ran out of good names in the last game… hard man?? Seriously? The sliding feature is cool though and I think I would use it a lot if I actually played this. Another nice video!
Nice review🎳
Hey Patman! What a treat to have you stop by my channel. Thank you for checking out the review. Happy gaming, and have a great weekend!

@@TigerChainsawVideoGames you’re welcome good sir!
IMO one of the best in the series. But that's perhaps because of the fact that we played MM3 A LOT back then.

Don't you want a hard man in your life?? The sliding feature is super cool and made the game a lot more fun. Thanks for watching! : )
go birds
Boo birds, go Pats!
Too long!?!?! oh, boooooo hoo!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I don't have the patience to keep playing after I think I just beat the final fortress!!!
