Like your new intro Earl 👍 planning building a maxx slash myself from my old maxx v1 when the parts come available here in europe :) was wondering what kinda soldering iron do you use ??? looking for one thats good for this kinda soldering
Earl, as someone who’s had a brand new ESC failure the moment I plugged in the first battery, PLEASE test your ESC before chopping the stock connectors off. Any chance of warranty is gone once you change the factory connectors.
@@earlmoorhead5555 You still paid for a working ESC and should make sure you get it. You could use it for another project or sell it. Just saying 🤷♂️. Appreciate your content man keep up the great work 👊.
@JPTulo I go for the odds as 20years never having one bad I feel not worth the trouble of dealing with connector’s I’ll never have a battery for. And that why I’m now using EC5 rather then my xt90 traxxas connector as you can’t buy the battery end anymore are not worth the headache
@@earlmoorhead5555 For example: I took the 6s ESC out of my original x-maxx and stored it in one of my parts bins back in 2016 or whenever it was first released. Turns out that should be a perfect fit on my Maxx chassis upgrade from 4s to 6s and it’ll plug right in like it was meant to be.
@@JPTulo as I do the same I take my 8s rc’s and replace the esc and upgrade everything else but traxxas esc I have about 20 of them 6s and 8s and I never use them but I have them as some are even in my thumbnails on this series
I bet this thing could be slammed and spin some infraction dboot hoons wheels pretty damn well. Big on road body, i wonder what that will be like because im sure we'll see it eventually
Couldn’t you put the GPS around the shock tower as the body doesn’t use that as mounting anymore. Yeah I’m sure it’s not called a shock tower but I’m sure you’ll know what I’m talking about 😂
This thing is a missle. 6s is a bit much. I hit 60 mph going up a slight hill on not the longest road and this thing was still gaining more speed before I ran out of space. I never hit 60 mph with the Mojave with the stock pinion. Maybe others have but neither here nor there, this is a great vechile.
Surely for this price it would come with heat sink ,motor fan and sway bars stock 😮😮

For me if the esc is bad I’ll just put a max6 in even if it fails new adaptors cause bigger connections issues

Nice to know even the pros are human lol thanks for the vid pick mine up next week !!!!!
I just wanna go fast!! Love the rock and roll pattern on this body 👌 Earl Moorhead 2.0 intro is nice too 👍Cheers from 🇨🇦

On either end of the rc in a crash the closest to the center is best not to loose the gps
Valid point!

idk. 6s 22v is way to much imho. 14.8v would have sufficed.
😎💯💯💯
Ps yeah I know that is what traxxas does 😢😢
Hell yeah 👍🏻 let’s go 🤙🏻👊🏻
When you were soldering that battery without insulating the bullets. Flash back to the smoke show. Glad it didn't happen. 🙃
Heck yeah moment I’ve been waiting for… test time 👍👍👍
I was yelling at my screen, Earl put the endcap on. No Earl you forgot the endcap Earl stop put the cap on oh Earl.lol
Lmao
