Great video - very helpful as I'm over 60 and the last three years I've been forced into minimalist existence, to the point I can see this being a lifestyle possibility. thanks to all involved :)
Same. I took care of my Alzheimer-stricken mother for 12+ years. Waiting for the day to become a nomad. A month after she died I got sick. Changed everything. If you are gonna do it dont wait. Get everything figured out and in place now while you can (if this is what you need to do). I am now, 5 months later, able to continue on I think. The house is listed. Cant afford the energy bills in California ($1,000+ a month during the summer). Its a scam. So I want to nomad and I have to nomad. Most seem to love it. I have been prepping for years.
It's refreshing and inspiring to see the older generations in this lifestyle and how they set themselves up for function and comfort. I also appreciate that this couple represents a more down to earth, non glam non trendy part of humanity. So many channels are highlighting 35 and under tech - hipster - hippies who appear to be in the life BC it is in trend...not because they need to economically. And often it is all about promoting their Instagram business. Which gets really tired after awhile. But these people feel real deal and no b.s. , no aires put on for the show.🙌🏻👌🏻 Thanks for sharing your story! More people like them please !🙏🏻

I really enjoyed this tour. Great down to earth practical couple with a sense of humor. I liked their build, well thought out for their needs. I'm older and have to consider restroom requirements as well. Thanks for the tour!

Are you kidding?! I would like to hear more about the van being taken away. Is there another video on this? I will look. I cant even imagine!!! The stress and the anger you must have endured. Unbelievable. 😮
Better not go to a mall, outdoor event, church or schools.... mass shootings every day in the states .... people travel all over the world and for the most part have no trouble
Very nice video, but I wish they would have included some more age specific stuff. I'm 63. I'd love to try this but am worried about what would happen if I needed to see a doctor. What kind of health insurance is out there for senior travelers. And while I don't wish to pry, might have been helpful to go over the types of documents needed for traveling out of the country. What didn't they have to get into or out of Costa Rica? If they're dealing super cold temps, what kind of heater do they use, how is it powered? I wish van lifers would also talk about where they're parking at night too. Security/safety stuff too.
@@wvover8079 And I don’t watch the news. The fear porn networks. There’s over 330 million people living in the USA and the news will report on a shooting daily of 1-8 people. Dope to see older people than the normal average ones!
I’ve mainly seen 60+ year olds traveling in these type of vans
I love Trent and Allie also. Are you watching them build their home and garage? And their little son is super cute.

How long did the Panama government keep their van? I was confused by that.

It sounded like, in the end, it wasn’t that their papers were out of order. Customs in Costa Rica made a mistake.
