2014 Chevy Traverse fuel pump/sending unit

Here is what a fuel sending unit/fuel pump looks like on a 2014 Chevy traverse. I'm sure this is the same pump in a Buick enclave and a few other gm vehicles. What happened was we went to take our kiddo to the airport to fly to fort Bliss in Texas for her first stationed duty for the army military police. And our gauge said we were empty with a full tank of gas. The pump worked but the sending part failed. I drive a 99 Toyota Camry and it has its original pump sometimes you don't need to try and advance technology if the old school stuff works leave it be. This dam thing is all plastic.
